The new dom system really takes out the fun (talking about 500+).... only first position pays of...
So put less points for positions and more for dom.
Also, where is the +70 Bonus for every game... this will reduce general points by a lot, so less 500, 2k nad even 5k tables will come together.
Only extra points form tuneys, and table 0 players come in the game...

I think it's a change that everyone's not used to. When Ryan first implemented Dom, several people said that sucked, now we've become accustomed to it. Dominance created a variable in the scoring that a players could manipulate. Now, you can't do shit and a few of you don't have a pot to piss in anymore.

Change only for the sake of having change is not good. Change needs to make sense. This dom system doesn't make sense, if only the 1st place gets rewarded and especially 5th gets fcked

@nuf: its not about being adaptable to new changes, its more about being selfish about kdice. we want the fu**in kdice, not the stupid dicewars.

the "new" kdice is like the multiplayer version of dicewars, nothing else... wheres the fun?

even pga's are just gonna get rewarded by the new system, and thats the point(!). newbies who try higher tables, and got fucked by any "friendly" play, pga, or whatever you gonna call it, are just gonna get a loss, instead of a plus, as they deserve to get.

sorry ppl, im a social gamer, but i cant even reward any newbies anymore, for helping me. so just the circles are left, and this might not be the best for the game - neither for us high level players who want to meet new ppl aka freshmeat.

kdice is a multiplayer version of dicewars though... it's been that, oh, i dunno, since dec. 06'?

I don't mind losing the dom points, but I *don't* think that setting 5th, 6th, 7th the same is appropriate. There are many times that it actually takes reasonable play to get to 5th when you have the last turn and that won't be rewarded. It also exaggerates the jump from 5th to 4th. In the past, I might have flagged in 5th to expedite things. That's less likely now.

maybe for people like you, but some top players (exclude monte^^ & co) just want to get new challenges. and the new challenge is truly not to adept every new change, its more like beating the higher tables...

and for sure: kdice IS NOT dicewars. stop to compare it, otherwise kdice would rly just be the SIMPLE multiplayer version of dicewars.

well, I was just saying that was the original intention. it certainly has become a different game all together than that, especially with the social aspect and what not.


But still, give it some time. We've been playing it this way for only two days. After being in first and negotiating for flags for the first time with this system, I felt like I was in a different situation; I liked that I had no dom. to worry about, but I didn't know what else to do with myself.


Time will tell if we really need to stick with this or not. But right now it seems to be all about what I'm all for : just playing the damn game. Maybe for once those involved in PGA's or "favors" will forget about them and take KDice seriously and try to be the best of the best, not the best because of the rest

Really kind of upset
Was playing heaps for months and used to be able to play all the tables, now i have been on non stop for two days and cant get past the 100 tables where apparently u can get some dom points
Probably gonna stop playing soon
