Also, I don't think that we will get used tothe new dom system as we might get used to those horrible new colours. This change was a major change which killed many aspects of this game.

(1) Truces became meaningless - why would I cooperate with another player when I know that only one of us gets something...

(2) Flags became meaningless - why would I flag for a position (2nd - 5th) when I know that I only prevent a loss instead of getting at least some good points.


Due to the change of the dom system, you are forced to fight for 1st only.Nothing else matters anymore... which is sad.

People need to relax. I'm flattered each time a change is made and people are upset. It means KDice means something.

When I read these posts however, I have to filter and spin them in my head to get the correct discussion out. There's no reason to be upset. I'm a reasonable person and I make changes for the sake of kdice.

So without the whining and complaining the good points are:
- too many points for 1st

The current one is using the tourney placements - which I believe SHOULD be aggressively rewarding first like this. But I'll put a softer curve on regular games similar to before. This should be updated by tomorrow.

BTW: This should be a discussion. It's silly to make such negative comments about my work and toss threats of leaving the site (which isn't really a threat). You don't need to tell me that you're leaving the site. If you want to help, tell my why you don't think the changes are good (without saying 'come on ryan' or 'the changes suck'). If you can't I'm happy to see you go. :)

I dislike the fact that the dom plays so little affect in the games now. But I like the concept of there being no dom on the lower tables.
It is kinda messed up how it is setup on 500 though. You can flag in the 3rd rd for -250. and then 20 rds in when 5th gets eliminated, they are sitting -350 or so

bring the old system back

having dom removed from 0 and 100 tables was a the decision of a genius. it makes the game more simple and is bestly suited for newbs and unambitious players. good job Ryan!

Well, probably I'm not an experienced player and I shouldn't post anything in the forums, but on my humble point of view NO ONE has any experience with the changes that Ryan has done (two days, for the love of God). Give it a chance.

Come on man, start a thread calling a tweak in the score "bullshit" isn't the right way to get the old system back, and you've been around enough time to know that.


In essence I like the changes in two senses:

1/ Easy score calculation on lower tables. (KISS principle).
2/ More rewarding to 1st.
