It would be nice if the RC's expired monthly.

"It would be nice if the RC's expired monthly.".....like the warning says.

I don't like being lied too.

yeah me and 666666666440 destroy one another all the time and just because we sat in together too much we are not allowed to play with one another!!!! It's awful.

Monthly is too fast - by the time it gets obvious too many points have be gained. And is let's say 1/2 of a month sufficient to scare people?
I could think of something like 3 monthts.

i disagree completely with john, i have never seen you at the high tables where there is a considerable less number of players playing, and therefore get RCd even when they are not PGAing. I say just eliminate all the RCs at the end of the month like originally planned. Seems like vics is a cheater though, ban him ;p and CHEATERHAT_SAM ban him too :D

i thin once RC is detected, the bad should be for 6 months. that would really scare people away from cheating.

That would stop people from playing 10k games... and probably 2.5ks by the 3rd or 4th month too...

Ryan, can you reset RC's for this month please?

Lift the ban or change the warning after being RC'd.

Also could we have an update with what the situation is since none of us actually know what is going on behind the scenes?

RC ban will always be a tricky thing.

I am prepared to take a few false positives in order to keep the system and have the real pga's banned as well.

however some finetuning might be needed now to get a good balance between actual pga detecting and "let's ban these 2 after 10 games just to be sure".

First of all, I think monthly resets are essential to get the system to work well. Increasing the length of the ban after the first ban might be a good idea. If you get RC'ed with the same person two months in a row the second RC ban can be for 2 months. If the month after that, the RC is again detected, then you can set a 3 month ban.

I also have a problem with the small number of games that can trigger a ban. Minimum number of games should be 25 (the first month after a ban is lifted you might be able to shorten it again to 15). It will be very difficult to install something like this but I would like to see a system where we can have the option to chose what to do with the RC detection. In 10 games at the higher tables, 3,4 or more 1-2 or 1-3 finishes with a person you just happened to be able to work well together with is not that uncommon without it being pga. Such streaks of "starting setups where 2 people are simply destined to work together" are just as common as other streaks of good/bad starts. Any kind of streak has to end sometime. So if after 10 games you have a high correlation with someone, the system should offer you the choice between:

A) take the ban for a month
B) allow 20-25 more games but if the RC still stands after that, you immediately get banned for 2 months.

My point is, you know yourself wether the RC is justified or not. If you honestly think you didn't do special favours to the other guy but it was just a coincidence that you 2 happened to finish well together, you should be able to prove it by allowing more games (by taking the risk with a possible 2 month ban).

P.S. Of course you create a loophole by allowing 25 more games. PGA'ers might (strike that--- they WILL) exploit it by just playing 24 extra games. Once you accept 25 extra games, they won't get reset after the end of the month but are carried over to the next month.
