Yesterday, I was in a 2k room just watching for a few to pass time away. I seen a mod come in and talk to someone about some "bad news". This "bad news" turned into a ban for the player because in private he admitted to PGA. Well, here is my theory if this statement came from inside the k-realm I can understand the mods point of view and the ban should hold. If tho by chance it did not and came from a social networking site; the mod has no right to persuade the decision to make a ban on that player. What is your opinions about this issue? I am trying to stay as neutral as possible in this BUT would love to know what others think. Thanks, Mr. Barker

Will I also get the female premium ban if I start cheating?

Seriously, let's go back to outset; where teams were beaten by other teams and just racist and porn stuff were moderated... Less whining from both sides.

*yawns*

{{Crazy Smurf isin't permabanned? I was pretty sure It was, after veta snitched on mike 'cool g' when they shared screens together and veta went trough his fb account when he forgot to log off.

I'm obviously not talking about ban lenght here Jurgen, I'm talking about you not being consistent as which players you ban and where you draw that fucking grey line that you're talking about. You have been criticized by this countless times before. And you're just brushing it off as it doesn't matter. no one's perfect, I don't blame you. My ban was deserved, and so was probably the rest but don't you find it ironic that, when you ban 5-6 players in one tourney and there's 2-3 players doing it worse in the next, and they don't even get a slap on the wrist?

If you can't do it right, don't do it at all. }}

lol nobody snitched on anybody when me and cool g were sharing - I thraxle'd his account and just covered it up by saying I was ratting him out. At the time I was basically looking for a way to save face and managed to win favor with some mods too. Cool g was cool with it so we ran with it.

So yeah Smurf - I don't snitch, and I will continue to remind you of your moral inferiority whenever its appropriate.

Also, I've saying what Lexy said forever - the game was way better before KDICEMOD (no offense Rob, I know you meant well). Stop modding play, the only people who bitch will step in line real quick or stop playing the big tables (and let's be honest, they probably weren't cut out for it in the first place). PGA on low tables is a non-issue and isn't even addressed now so it will continue to be a non-issue. PGA on the high tables won't be masked in facade of OTFs, but even if it is, people will take sides and you'll see some actual competition. Political competition maybe, and I think we can all agree the politics of the top 25 were always the most fun aspect of the game, at least once you mastered the basic reasoning behind moves.

Might as well ban anyone that has ever gotten a few top 25's, I'm sure we have all PGAd.

At least we finally know why Murti is so quiet while playing.

funny how there has been only limited modding in the last 6 months, especially the last 3 months and the site has only gotten worse.

I still watch games or read up on chatlogs now and then and almost daily do I read rants from regulars about how lame and un-fun the play at the top tables has become. Almost nobody has the guts to fight friends anymore. If there is a table without noobs, at least 4/7 people are confused and don't know who to attack anymore. Luckily 5k is still kinda OK cuz less noobs end up there anyway.

People got what they wanted: virtually no modding. So I'm not sure people can keep blaming the mods for killing the site.

bullshit there's no modding, you told me just the other day that you watched me play the euro freeroll, and since you weren't online (or notified anyone you were on) you were either on an alt or offline (aka mod stealth mode). And since you were watching the freeroll I can only assume you were watching the members tournament prior to that. And since the only way to amass points now is through members tournaments I think it wouldn't be a stretch to say you are still keeping tabs on the monthly competition and/or specific players.

Just because you aren't banning people left and right (e.g. 2 weeks ago) it doesn't mean the gameplay isn't being moderated or forced a certain way by threat of moderation. When people say the moderators should quit moderating they don't mean tone it down or just ban less (fyi banning less people when less people play isn't exactly toning anything down) they mean that you should CEASE all moderation. Quit concerning yourself with games you are not actively playing, quit using your power of intimidation, and above all else quit keeping tabs on specific players.

I've only ever seen a few groups overtly PGA in KDice the most recent controversies have been semantic nonsense like sitting an alt to fill the game or tanking your points in a 5k table. This does not need to be weighed in on by anyone, nobody gives a shit, nobody is even clamoring for these things to be addressed - just stop.

Sorry if this seems overly directed towards you jurgen, but you have been the most active (at least that I've noticed) and I did give examples of controversies that other moderators created.

I still maintain that Bone-Roller, and his policy of banning whatever he wants, probably did more damage than any moderator to the game since maybe Fiero600.

"I still watch games or read up on chatlogs now and then " I just said I still watch and mod now and then.

Check how many members I played this month: 2. When you played the freeroll and talked to simon, that was after I played the second time. I left my browser open. I actually DID check if I was in stealth or not that day because you 2 were talking right under my nose at one point and I wanted to make sure if you saw me or not.

I stayed online that day for 4 ish hours, I only watched 2 or 3 games in that time period, including your first game and your second one where everyone killed you because your scheme blew up in your face.

I'm modding less and banning less. Period. and it's for my own reasons. Stopping because a few people think mods ruin their fun is not a good reason.

I doubt the majority here wants less modding anyway. Most people on Kdice don't read the forum or aren't as vocal as the 10-20 people who would benefit from no modding because then they could do all they want.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that modding this site is virtually impossible because of the current situation. THAT is the reason why I'm bothering less.

I believe that Veta raised a valuable point: the population of this site seems to be declining, or fewer people are making it past the 100's at least. Last month was really lame considering the fact that the only 2k ever running was controlled by a few groups of friends, there was no room for the random to come in and rake in some major pointage.

PGAs are not the issue, in fact they are typical of war driven games. The issues is the fact that we have so few people making it to the higher level tables. There is no option to avoid the clicks, instead a player like me (who has no click) has to risk it and hope not to get screwed.
