Organizing 3v3 games

Maybe it has been brought up before and i think we can do it by ourselves if it is still not a site option (if mods agree). So i thought we could try it a fixed hour once a week (i.e. Wednesday that there are no tourneys) We could do it either on 500s (so the funneling is less) or in 2k (so it is more interesting and noone sits by accident). Red, purp, blue vs green, yellow, brown. Somebody could sit as teal with an alt (i can do it for 4-5 games), or someone who does not care about pts, and lag out (so there are no ticking flag problems). Map should be big, teams could be arranged or made up at that moment, winner team stays, we can keep a scoreboard.

Also gurgi, we're amazing at team games - I'd love to play them officially just to see how many games we'd win in a row.

3rd person would have to be a girl

-she would do all the suiciding for us and take 3rd place while we did the actual winning/manipulating.

I'll take that as a compliment :P. Games can be on Wednesday near the time 100 daily is

veta, I see no problem with the team version that you suggest (the random teams). It looks just as fun and tbh, if team games are organised in the current state of the site, this version will be most practical anyway.

I see no problems with people using their main unless this goes out of control but I just want to suggest that it could be usefull that people make an alt with a name ending with team or something. Then you can have sort of an official ranking for team playing.

Anywyay, Ryan has been missing in action for about 3 weeks now. But I'll ask him for a sticky 500 table named TEAM once more with a payout structure like this: +200 +200 + 200 -200 -200 -200 and 0 for 7th. No dom. I need to ask for something that requires absolutely no coding or chances of succes will be close to 0. But if anyone sees a better alternative, let me know. I think +250 +200 +150 -150 -200 -250 0 could be good to to reward the biggest player in the winning team a bit and to punish the losing player who lasted the longest a bit less.

i think it's fine with even payouts - that way the concern is still about doing whatever you can for your team - and not trying to minimize losses when things aren't looking good.

plenty of team games i've played have swung in completely the opposite direction because a big player made some ballsy play and ultimately sacrificed themselves for the team

hmmm yeah, I agree, team = team. That's why I am also in favor of even payouts.

The losing team can still be rewarded if they can kill the smallest player in the winning team.

So we wait for Ryan's reply i guess (gl). I think also that trying to protect a team member when the other team has lost but tries to kill one is a fun fact of the game so there has to be some motivation about it

how about something like this;

winning team pts = number of surviving team players * X

so if X is 100 and one of the winners gets killed, then they all get +200, while other team loses -200, this way you can get +100/+200/+300 depending on how big your victory is, this is sort of in the spirit of dom.

ofc it requires coding.
