A number-of-games adjustment is not needed to compare teams at the conclusion of a particular week because all teams are progressing through the same number of games. A number of games adjustment would be needed is you are comparing two teams at different stages of the season: If two teams are 2 - 0 and 0 - 2 after two weeks and 5 - 3 and 3 - 5 after eight weeks, are the two teams closer or further apart?

at 9:32 AM, Friday December 2, 2011 EST Just to play devil's advocate, I would that it is more impressive for a player to reach top 100 on the deviation towards 5th/6th/7th. If a player is able to accumulate points and a high TAZD to the "negative" side of the deviation that means they played the dom game very well and/or played a lot of high level games. A player that plays a shitload of 500's with a positive deviation is no more likely to finish higher in the monthly standings than a player who played a shitload of 2k/5k games with a negative deviation.
However, I'm not a stats geek, so my miniscule analysis could be wrong. |

The variation in luck decreases as more games are played, but not very fast, probably because of outliers such as 3 v 5 wins or 5 v 3 losses. Also, as has been said by others, luck is shown only for rolls, not for initial stacks or restacks. I don't think we can do anything with the luck stat. |

this is very easy to do if you just play like that, then play some tournies until you get a few k and then play a few 2ks to get your medal. Theoretically you only need tournaments to beat tazd. and yes, you can argue that someone who can do this with only tournaments must have some skill so his tazd win is justified... JEEZ, this will never stop (dibs on 100) |
