This is dedicated to all you self proclaimed conscientious patriots, We want to get this straight.

You didn’t get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.

You didn’t get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

You didn’t get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

You didn’t get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.

You didn’t get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn’t get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn’t get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the Abu Grahib photos.

You didn’t get mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn’t get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn’t get mad when we didn’t catch Bin Laden.

You didn’t get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.

You didn’t get mad when we let a major US city drown.

You didn’t get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when.. when… wait for it… when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all ok with you but helping other Americans… well fuck that. That about right? You know it is.

You people have all lost your fucking minds. You are selfish, greedy, obnoxious, narcissistic, and frankly… stupid. Your pathetic little misspelled protest signs are embarrassing. Maybe you ought to find the smart person in your midst and let them make up all the signs, cause man, you look like a bunch of idiots. Also you’re ugly and your mother dresses you funny.

Didn't I say that I support universal coverage as long as there's a way to pay for it?

You know what? Get rid of welfare and have that go towards healthcare. You have my full support for that.

While we're at it, we should charge people with personally made health problems (i.e. drinking, smoking, drugs, overweight) pay proportionally more for healthcare. If you're fat......you get hit with a fat tax. If you smoke.......you get hit with a smoking tax (on top of what you pay for cigarettes). If you do drugs (tough to prove at times)......you get hit with a drug tax (and 2-5 years in jail : ) ).

I'm all for full coverage, but we need to be fair about it. Fair doesn't always mean take from the rich and give to the poor. I think you guys forget that sometimes.

how can the free marked work on medicare when people have to buy and often there is only one real alternative,

you can have free marked forces in a single payer system. in norway you can choose whichever doctor you want, and the money will follow the patient.

but really, in modern state of the art hospitals, any place is as good as any other place.

so, the only thing left to compete is doctors, but if the money follows the patients, then you can choose your doctor.

Well the way other countries do it Rob is the doctors in charge of patients get bonuses if say: any of their patients quit smoking, lose weight (if obese), basically if their patients get healthier they get a bonus. It works really well.

"The Most Persistent Economic Fallacy of All Time! "

the debate is if government should PRODUCE healtcare, and PRODUCE education.

as friedman said "it is desirable to have some money spent by government, for those things, those services, that we believe we can get more usefully, more effectfully from government..."

this is EXACTLY the category I would put healthcare in

Well then we will have to agree to disagree Mrk. I you want some government employee operating on you; that is your prerogative.
