anyone who thinks more money doesnt make you happier has never been filthy rich.

on the aggregate people that make more money (150k+) work harder, but the exceptions to the rule are the millionaires and billionaires. they make their money work for them.

The definition of "work harder" has many meanings. People making 150K+ rarely do physical labor, but they may put in 70 hours a week running a business.

Having more money doesn't neccisarily make people happier, it just means they have more money.

I love how BO has all these ready-made stats and figures on how hard you need to work to make money; but he has never worked a day in his life...

The 75k (this is for a single person) figure was from a political philosophy class. I'll ask the professor where she got this data, but I am guessing this a subjective test (i.e. Right down your income and how happy are you from 1 to 10).

I have worked a lot in my life. I have a fucking impressive ass resume for a 20 year old and am working on HEP theory in academia for the NSF (National Science Foundation) now.

I worked in a variety of jobs and started my own lawn care business when I was 13, which was successful and which I have handed down to my siblings.

Besides the 75k figure was only part of a lil'rant, all I am saying is that guys argument sounds good to the ear, but if you deconstruct it, its just the same solutions the GOP have been proposing (trickle down).

He is right about one thing though: we need to create jobs, but not through the means that he proposes. Trickle down doesn't work.
