For ages i have said that the only way to solve PGA, early truces and rediculous vflags is to have anonymity.
this idea was discussed and although ryan, (whether he read it or not) opted to not respond, this idea faded away. the argument against it was that kdice is a social game which is fair point. my argument for was it is a primarily a war game and all socailites shud be playing facespace or mybook. anyways, my idea (and i apologise as i duno anything about code in order to help out) is to disable the chatbox to players until...say round 8. by doin this players cant be pussies, early truces are made via gameplay whilst the social / diplomatic side of the game will take part in the latter stages thoughts? |

Having no chat box would be loved by pga's for this reason. They could either agree ahead of time to work together or talk over msn, and the honest players would have no way of arranging a counter until too late. |

thanks for the support shev. politics is part of war, war is not part of politics therefore... war > politics in a kdice kinda way. if players are truly sad enuf to organise tactics thru IM, then like said above, they'll be RC'd Note: the RC detector was put into place to stop PGA if players are not RC'd and appear to be PGA, then guess what...they are shit at PGAing, therfore no worries seriously...kdice needs to go back to the way things were when epic battles took place...when was the last time any one seen a game they will never forget? i appreciate ryan has tried to make everyone happy and abolish cheating and shit, but whilst doing so has created a monster. how about sandboxing it? see how it goes. i strongly believe that the game will become a hell of a lot more fun with no chat til the latter stages of the fight... |
