Wake up boys.. they're addicted.. they can't stop.. so they want their accounts to be gone.. and rather than "ask politely".. they fuck with the system.. and because they're addicted.. they'll be back...

I will start this post addressing Ryan, but making it public so others can see my point of view.

Leanna (1:03:27 AM): lame
Leanna (1:03:29 AM): teams would be a great idea, I think
Leanna (1:03:34 AM): another layer of challenge

According to jjledeuce , he accidentally sat in a team game, which he was obviously angry over. I however, feel that team play is inevitable.

After the first pga’s started, the first pga groups started. From the information gathered on the forums, this pga group eventually became known as the cabal. Leekstep said that he created a counter to the cabal, and successfully pga’d X LUCK X to victory that month. After looking at X LUCK X’s stats for that month, he was pga’d to the astronomical elo of 2400. Only integral has been the other player to break the 2400 barrier, at least with the current scoring system. Getting Luck to that position must have taken a large group of people, more than the 7 person “team” that integral used. During the month, teams had already started to form. There was team “Black Trapazoid” and “Pink Square.”

After the final hours had counted down that month, allegedly a group of the top players met with Ryan to discuss the future of kdice. A team kdice was presented and Ryan shrugged it off. He intended kdice to be an individual game.

The teams were disbanded following Luck’s “retirement” from the game, and team play was temporarily forgotten. Skrum’s post on the forums sparked brief interest again. Players commented, mostly receptive of the idea. Players even gave advice as to how a team game could be created using the current system. A few days ago, a team game just happened, somewhat spur-of-the-moment. The idea was well received, and “Team xxxx” accounts were created. These players gave fair warning to all those sitting that it was a team game.

The team accounts were better organized, which culminated in the fateful game that jjleduce sat in on. The aftermath of that game was the account “CoMik” being muted indefinitely. While CoMik fessed up that the game was his idea, does his punishment fit the crime? He was blocked from chat. Integral was blocked from the chat as well, and CoMik said that he had nothing to do with it? Why was integral blocked as well? CoMik was just leader in the changing face of kdice, he was embracing the change, not fighting it. Kdice is headed towards team play, it almost was team play two months ago. The game is changing, Ryan, the game is headed in that direction regardless. It should be free to become what the community speaks.

Team play is a totally different game. Mixing it with the current game makes it confusing. 95% of the people here want to play the original game. It's only a few that are trying to force team play. Coincidently these are the same few that have tried in the past to manipulate the game in other ways. They have built themselves an ego and an entitlement attitude because they can group together to gain high ELO ratings. They really get no respect from the other 95% of the players here. Eventually the scoring system will change to avoid rewarding these types of players. I have a new scoring system thought out to handle this. It will be simpler will reset each month, just like GPokr, which doesn't suffer from abuse from these types of players.

mm, aren't those accusations a little harsh...I think this was the first thing i ever did against you :o, after 175 dollars of love. You block me insult me, say I have ego problems, and have no respect :( I just wanted the others to be happy, is that so wrong? On the other hand, why don't you unblock me, and we can discuss this all civilized like.

My question is, Why did you mute integral now, instead of earlier? He had no part in this latest problem, he wasn't even on kdice for the time period of these things.
I don't care if you mute me, I'd like a chance to discuss things, but that is fine, but muting Integral over my actions isn't right. He should not be punished for one of the few things he wasn't involved in.

A quick note on team games:
Why can't you have team tables like the Sit n' Go tables you made for gpokr. Just a separate Tab. you talked about it making a barrier for new players, but it would give them a way to interact with higher players, bringing them into the fold so to speak. It takes down the barriers set up by elo sectioning.

i dont think we are egotistic because we can team up for high elo. but you hit the nail on the head. we are damn egotistic. we look down on others who play the game, especially other 2k players, especially other top 25 players. because we think we can beat them in a one-on-one game with superior strategy. and that is cocky. hell, personally im the same way when i play basketball or frisbee.

this is illustrating my point

I ask these people to stop doing things. They come back with "why? bla bla bla". I can't keep wasting my time responding to this whining. These people need to grow up, either play the game or go find some other obsession.

A monthly elo reset? That's a little harsh Ryan. If you’re trying to hurt the top players, it’s going to backfire on you. The top players are the people who the elo reset will have very little effect. As CoMik proved this month, you can become a 2k rather easily, and he didn’t need any help. The monthly elo reset will however effect the lower tables the most. Many of those players have worked on their elos, spending months on them. They play every day, bouncing up and down, but steadily making their way to the top tables. If anything, they are more proud of their elo than we are. When I first broke 1700, I was more proud than when I broke 2200. If anything, a monthly elo reset will alienate players from the game. They no longer have anything to work for. The might be able to get on the top 25 sometime, but the list will still look similar. Resetting the elos, even on a monthly basis, I am fairly certain will drive people away from the game.
