You're in first place & it looks like you're going to win, but there's still a few other people at the table.
How do you decide who gets 2nd/3rd/4th? Here are various suggestions: 1. Tell the people who have caused you the most trouble that you will wipe them out first 2. Herd people together and let them fight for supremecy 3. Tell everyone to pick a number. Closest to your number gets to live Those are just a few things that I've seen cut down on the "but I deserved" whining. Let me know what your other ideas are, because no one likes a whiner. |

at 2:19 AM, Tuesday January 9, 2007 EST z3ddicus, there is no "intelligent" solution to this anyhow. It just shows that often its of free disposal of the 1st who takes place 2-7.
The highest scores first, stuff. Yes you say it about "this evens out points". Bla! Its a lie. Unconsious you do it, because you want highest scores reduced more. So you climb up more the hierachy. Its the most egoistic way to do of all! |

But I do agree there is no "correct" or "intelligent" way to solve this. The only constant in this situation is to ignore them, because unless you know them personally, no one's complaints should affect you in any serious way. This thread is almost useless in my opinion, other than to offer ideas to those in the same situation. Done, said. Over. |

at 12:40 PM, Tuesday January 9, 2007 EST So here's my question:
Suppose you're in the lead and there's 2 or 3 players left over. You made an alliance/truce with one of them but the truce didn't really help you much and plus he's the most annoying, has a moving avatar, was away for a while, didn't deserve to win, has the highest rating, didn't pick your number, or what have you. Should you honor your truce, or give second to the ones who otherwise would have deserved it? |

at 12:47 PM, Tuesday January 9, 2007 EST it is your very gamebased right if you are in lead to kill the ones with highest scores, so you rank up higher.
However it is wrong, to tell people, "oh im doing this to be fair"... thats what is "false-weasel-like" on this. |

at 4:03 PM, Tuesday January 9, 2007 EST But if you decreade higher graded players first, you are going higher in hierachy in places.
Whatever that is good for ;) Its okay, but calling this a "fair" finish, in case of points, and you doing this because you love everybody so much, is just lieing. |

I only said it was the most logical, because I thought that. No one is ever right in this kind of thread, and no one is really ever wrong. Good day! :|

at 7:41 PM, Tuesday January 9, 2007 EST If you're in a position to control who dies first, and you will win 1st place, does it increase the amount of points you will gain? I was under the impression it did not affect that, it only affected how much the others lose or gain, depending on their places.
