@Thraxle: Yeah I think we're pretty much on the same page. The ACC being terrible isn't FSU's fault, but FSU failing to run the table in that terrible conference is squarely on the coaching staff. Talent's there, motivation and playcalling isn't.

@jpc4p: I think I finally got your "point" (if you can even call that a point). You think I'm a hypocrite for laughing at a UVA fan for bragging and then bragging about FSU? I mean, even if that was the case -- and it's not, I think I'm being pretty fair in my analysis of FSU here, and I'll happily admit to being biased -- at least FSU has something to brag about. UVA barely scraped by a terrible, young Miami team by giving it their all. FSU dominated their game against Miami but was shafted by multiple bullshit OPI calls, lack of holding calls against whoever was blocking Bjoern Werner, stupid turnovers, and special teams miscues that seem to have been figured out. I don't mean to use any of that to excuse a poor performance by FSU, just to say that UVA squeaked by Miami while giving UM their best game, whereas FSU played like shit and still dominated despite the close score (garbage time TDs ftw).

I don't even know what my point is anymore. UVA sucks, the ACC sucks, fuck NC State so hard, get your shit together Jimbo. That pretty much sums up what I've been trying to say in this thread. I just like talking about college football.

Nah I used records vs. Duke to show the difference in the quality of teams. FSU has literally never lost to Duke. UVA barely has a .500 record against Duke. Therefore, UVA and FSU aren't on the same level.

I'll gladly admit that I LOVE blowing Duke out of the water on a yearly basis, but I'm sure as hell not gonna put FSU in the NCG or ACCCG based on that.

lol I just checked the records and that record against Duke was 2 years off. FSU is actually 19-0 against Duke. Closest Duke's ever come to beating FSU was a 19 point loss during FSU's worst season in 50 years. FSU's outscored Duke all-time 901-279. This isn't me bragging about FSU. This is me ragging on Duke cuz, seriously, fuck Duke y'all.

Duke basketball is 30-8 all-time vs. FSU. : )

Historically, Duke hasn't been as shitty as they have been in the 90s/00s, so that's a terrible comparison.

That being said, no one is implying UVA football > FSU football. Although we did beat yall last time we played.

I just thought it was funny that you rag on monte for saying one sentence about the team's recent win and then go on and on about your own mediocre team. It's not your defending/critique of your team that I have an issue with - it's acting like monte had no reason to say "hey how about that last W."

I fail to see how an all-time top 25 football program that's gotten to that level despite only playing serious football for 40 years is mediocre but then again I actually know what the word mediocre means. 10 wins, probably looking at at least 11, is at least above average.

To be fair though I'll always root for UVA over VPI.
