at 4:08 PM, Thursday October 18, 2012 EDT Is that seriously it? That's your response? I actually take the time to think my post out and provide sources and you provide one single counterpoint that, first of all, responds to a completely tangential point that doesn't even matter -- the main point being that red meat is bad for you -- and second of all, is irrelevant to the reality of the world because, the fact of the matter is, the vast majority of grain and corn in the country goes toward cattle (along with HFCS and ethanol which is an utter farce). Try again, das, and actually respond to my point this time.

at 4:11 PM, Thursday October 18, 2012 EDT I mean seriously that is the reason I don't post on these forums anymore. You people have no clue how to actually debate anyone, it's all bullshit conjecture, anecdotes, strawmen, and distractions that completely avoid the point. Don't even bother responding, I'm done here. I'm going to go back to talking to people with some modicum of intelligence and who understand how to actually have a discussion. Go fuck yourself.

at 8:31 AM, Friday October 19, 2012 EDT The links you provided do not indicate a consensus. They make it clear that many studies on both sides have determined risks and benefits. The LA Times article introduces a source that calls into question the results of the study. The WebMD article talks about the higher benefits of grass fed beef.
Extreme moderation is still an oxymoron. |
