He was tried and convicted under the laws of his country and received the maximum allowable sentence which in all likelihood will be a life sentence. I don't get people getting butt hurt over him "only" getting 21 years. We Americans have a much higher desire to see people punished then to actually fix societies ills and deter crime. We care much more about our punishment than actual justice. Despite our harsher punishments we actually have higher murder and crime rates than Norway, and it isn't even close. Norway is top 6 for low rates and the US is down among the horror shows of the 3rd world.

Latest since the Bush-election the world (ok, the 1st world) knows, that America is a 3rd world country. Your love for death penalty results from expelling the under privileged and intelligent to the colonies befor the independence. It is called heritage.

I think stories of Americas decline and demise have been massively exaggerated, especially by the very vocal extremist right wing teabaggers in our own country. While the US finds itself more exposed with a broken government and a world wide economic malaise, it won't take much for the US to dust itself off and still be the worlds preeminent super power.
