Game Rules
1. Game-to-game favors or alliances are not allowed. 2. Play only one account at a time. I know the first one is hard to get a clear ruling around, but about the 2nd one. Alex got banned because he sat 2 acounts on a table to be able to fill it. He left seat before game started everytime, and whenever someone entered the room, he warned them that he would leave seat with his second account. I witnessed it. Therefore, he did not play with 2 accounts. Does sitting a 2nd account on a table to fill it faster illegal? Does it deserve a ban? If so, I think rule number 2 should be changed to 2. Sit only one account at a time. Thanks for reading, commenting, replying, etc. |

thats another point; so.. you're actively deceiving other players - making them wait longer than they expect they would have to wait? it is ultimately self defeating. ever heard of a schedule? post in the forum "at X time every day and/or every X day is 2k table time" all problems solved. "ac to be a troll who thinks anyone gives two shits or a fuck what he has to say or think" well, ji-jo asked for my opinion; Thraxle is saying the same thing as i am; and obviously you care a great deal or you wouldnt be so upset. "In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion." so, um... "i know you are, but what am i"? :) |

Now I'll direct myself to the noob. "thats another point; so.. you're actively deceiving other players - making them wait longer than they expect they would have to wait? it is ultimately self defeating. " The thing is, the wait doesn't only look shorter, it actually IS shorter. So no one is deceiving anyone. It's actually a good means to get a table filled. |

at 4:40 PM, Wednesday June 27, 2012 EDT Jurgen if you want Ryan to pay more attention to the website then you are in the best position of us to make that happen. You and every other active moderator should resign. It's that simple - don't mod the game any more. If the community is steadfast then there will be no one willing to replace you and we will likely garner ryan's attention. If you keep things more or less the same by his perspective nothing will ever change because from Ryan's point of view it won't be necessary.

at 7:22 PM, Wednesday June 27, 2012 EDT does this game ever get updates? if it does i have a suggestion that might help:
a secondary "ready to play" button for 2k and up tables. after the room fills, you push ready to play, when everyone is ready to play - the game starts; if they are not ready to play after 5?minutes - they can be kicked out by majority vote. that way ppl can sit down and do something else while waiting for it to fill without worrying the game will start without them. |

at 5:44 AM, Thursday June 28, 2012 EDT Veta does indeed make a good point. The last time Ryan actually paid good attention was when I told him I was going to resign if nothing changed. We did get 2 (mainly useless new mod powers) because of it and if Ryan wouldn't have chickened out of the negotiations, we would have had 5 new mods back then. So I admit that it wasn't a great success, but at least a strike had some effect. Plus, as a bonus, it allowed me to expose Veta so it was worth it.
I'm not modding as much anymore because I don't see why I should keep trying to keep this sinking ship afloat without clear rules, without good assistance from the developer and without clear plans for the future. I'm ok with a complete strike or I'm cool with a resignation if all or most mods want to give that signal. I didn't want to end up as a mod clinging on to his modship without actually modding and I still don't. So if I ever feel like I'm not doing any mod work anymore, I will resign anyway. Another way to get Ryan's attention is if the players switched to warsocial in large numbers but I think it's too early for that. |
