Yesterday, I was in a 2k room just watching for a few to pass time away. I seen a mod come in and talk to someone about some "bad news". This "bad news" turned into a ban for the player because in private he admitted to PGA. Well, here is my theory if this statement came from inside the k-realm I can understand the mods point of view and the ban should hold. If tho by chance it did not and came from a social networking site; the mod has no right to persuade the decision to make a ban on that player. What is your opinions about this issue? I am trying to stay as neutral as possible in this BUT would love to know what others think. Thanks, Mr. Barker

Moderation hasn't killed anything. The problem always has been stagnation in the game play. This was true in ELO and has been true for years under the current system. Once the most effective way to mass points or rank is confirmed every player that wants to will adapt this style and slowly everyone that "cares" is doing pretty much the same thing and no player wants to upset the balance and risk being run out of the "in-crowd"

Many former top players come back after long breaks and can't stand the current game amazed at how far it has fallen. MOD actions have only ever gone after a few players max per month and outside of a few select circles most players don't fear the MODs or their actions. If you can't sit and play the game on single game to game basis you really need to re-examine your priorities about how to have fun at KDice.

Inconsistent MOD actions is and always be a problem, we are all different in what we care about, I refuse to ban or care about some actions that other MODs go on holy crusades for. This will never change as their never will be one ideal every MOD strives for outside of an indefinable desire for a clean fun game site. That said, we should do better and should try to be consistent. Sometimes it is hard because patterns of unfair play and point gaining takes time to spot or develop so it can't be acted on the same every time.
