Who were the Three Worst/Best American Presidents of the 20th and 21st century...

My vote is as follows:

Worst:
1. Richard Nixon - even before his presidency, he was one evil mofo, nuff said
2. Herbert Hoover - the Great Depression, need I say more
3. George W. Bush, Sr. - often goes under the radar; but really, the Great Recession can be tied to his president

Best:
1. Franklin D. Roosevelt - he didn't serve four terms for nothing
2. Eisenhour - ...I like to think that all his flaws can be tied to his evil Vice president
3. Harry Truman - Rarely made decisions based on his own merit and was a lover of peace

Wow this one biased economist has a crazy long wikipedia history; including lots of men in black and white photos. What a marvel at this "new" theory...

Didn't you study economics Veta?

I tend to find Austrian economics specious, but I think at this point what Keynesian's have become isn't really promising either. Somewhere in the middle is more truth and more importantly actual growth. That is more a knock on those in power trying to stay wealthy and powerful then actually critically applying and/or updating Keynesian economics with new more accurate models.

We do agree that Veta is being a jackass though.

I have read very much about him...and that's why I think you're crazy to list him as the greatest president...

and I still think you're just doing it for shock value.
And I'm pretty sure he was impeached.

Travis; first off; I never said he was the "greatest president" so please don't put words in my mouth. In fact; a post or two back I made a statement that contradicts that. So please keep up.

Second; this is the third post that you have declared that you are unsure of whether he was impeached or not. Please do yourself a favor and do a quick google search. There is no reason to remain ignorant of some fact and post about said ignorance multiple times. Feed the brain...

Third; stop pretending to be outraged over the fact that I think Johnson was a good president. It really isn't that big of a deal. He didn't want to occupy the south; he stood against the 14th amendment; other than that he didn't do very much; which I like. Go figure...

You might want to also finally explain why it is so shocking...

Three posts about how something is so shocking; yet no information about what is so shocking about it...

Is this for attention? :p

Best:
1. Franklin D. Roosevelt (for New Deal, global politics in general)
2. Bill Clinton (for his budgeting strategy)
3. Ronald Reagan (I guess every 20-30 years the US people need a president like him to have a good time, and I wanted to list a Republican for the sake of political diversity)

Worst:
1. George W. Bush (destroyed the American manufacturing industries, disastrous environmental politics, abuse of religion, various wars, debts, debts, debts, debts, debts, "Old Europe", "Axis of evil" ...)
2. Richard Nixon
3. Herbert Hoover

(The European point of view)

DC, check yourself before you wreck yourself...
I counted to ten and it's all good now.
I was trying to be polite.
I don't have to google him to know he was impeached, I learned that in elementary school

And I don't have to offer support when I only speak the truth...

Travis (first comment to me): "Generally, I don't believe in calling people outside of their desired name
But DC...I'm making an exception.
anyone that says Andrew Johnson was a good president is an id**t. Point, Blank, Period"

Travis (last comment to me): "I was trying to be polite."

Entertaining...

Clinton was impeached and acquitted just like Johnson. What is everyone's point behind this? I'm not seeing the value of arguing this point.
