at 1:26 PM, Monday January 16, 2012 EST Yeah exactly Thraxle.
Ron Paul states that the united states is not a theocracy and congress doesn't have any right to write laws respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. This is what most people recognize as separation of church and state. Also known as the first amendment of the United States. |

at 1:36 PM, Monday January 16, 2012 EST Veta's ability to take things out of context and use them to "prove" points is very tiresome. There is a level of laziness and/or intellectual dishonesty that makes it impossible to ever get anywhere with him.
I'll leave the rest of you to argue these points. Personally I'm just going to watch what happens and wait till something of real consequence happens. RP's information is all over the web. If you are going to peddle misinformation; go ahead; people have enough sources on the web to do their own research. Which is my initial point; the current media landscape is healthier then at any other point in my life. I can remember when there was nothing else to read except the MSM; now there are plenty of sources; and plenty of ways to see the truth. |

From what I've heard it's ever bit as polarizing as Fox News here. }}
it's an interesting point... blame douchebag Harper for that. So long as his party has majority in the house I fear for the CBC. For all the screeching and gnashing of teeth right wing thinkers might have over state sponsored media, the CBC has proven it's ability time and again for it's capacity (and willingness) to deliver the sort hard hitting blows to the scandalous workings of it's own government and others world wide you would NEVER see on CNN. I just happened to be casually listening to the CBC when Anna Marie Tremonte caused an international stir with Kissinger on air live discussing the legality of the Iraq war and point blank asked wouldn't he himself be subject to prosecution for war crimes in the Hague ?... Kissinger kinda stalled and like an owl responds with.. who? ...me? Anna calmly responds with ....mmmhmm. Kissinger mumbles suggesting a question like that ends the interview...click. I nearly keeled over. That bitch has been my hero ever since. Say what you will about socialist programs like state run media, but if funding for the CBC was ever to be pulled it would represent an cultural loss to Canada of immeasurable proportion. The CBC has shown more balls and initiative in exposing the scandalous and questionable actions of both foreign and domestic governments alike than ABC CBS NBC CNN combined. Harper would love nothing more and would if it wasn't for the blowback from Canadians nation wide that would essentially ruin him. |

I could be vetas dad for fuck sakes. wtf does that have to do with anything you fucking goomba. Vetas argument - citations/data (or Lack of) either stand up or they don't. Attempting to wield ones biological date of birth against them in this case has shit to do with anything. but you just can't help yourself with that shit can you ?...douche. |

at 1:55 PM, Monday January 16, 2012 EST Gangster; it isn't a straw-man to point out Veta's age when he uses anecdotal evidence to make his points. He claims that he has witnessed the slide in media bias since the removal of the Fairness Doctrine. It seems quite relevant to point out that it predates his birth.

you see here's what I'm talking about. I bust you on your propensity for using straw-man as rebuttal and in response you go and simply "make shit up" or perhaps more accurately "distort" in hopes of supporting your usage of bad form in debate.... for instance... {{ He claims that he has witnessed the slide in media bias since the removal of the Fairness Doctrine. }} he does ?...where. I looked. I COULD NOT FIND IT. Then again perhaps I missed it.. citation plz? chump |
