dead has a valid point, and i dont take offense from it. i could definitely be wrong, and i accept that possibility. hell, even the bible defines faith as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. i would argue that no matter what you believe, theistic, atheistic, you have a level of faith in what you are believing.

one of the apostle pauls more vulnerable statements:

As a nerd myself; I have no problem with Trekkies and StarWars fans.

JPC; aren't in a way saying that "Oh all that Trekkie and StarWars stuff is beneath me and comparing it to me is offensive." In other words; you are belittling StarWars and Trek fans.

Then you turn around and claim that your belief system / interests are some how superior and require protection of others again belittlement. In fact; those that belittle you must be shouted down immediately.

I see a bit of hypocrisy there. I know in your mind the Bible is incomparable to StarWars; but I can find you people who say otherwise.

All I'm saying is; get some thicker skin and if you are going to have faith in something don't be so defensive about it. If someone wants to discuss it or belittle it; just take it in stride; I mean you believe that you are right, right? Don't you...?
