Veta, if you want to carry DEM's water for a few more election cycles that's your prerogative.

Trust me that cool-aid is gonna run out eventually. Both sides play the same games and have very similar goals... power/money.

That said, Obama =/= Bush, although you are right in saying the Democrat Party Machine = Republican Party Machine in terms of the interests they serve. The "Partys" are losing their influence fast though, soon most people will identify themselves as independents regardless of voting of their voting patterns.

Yeah I agree.

Personally; I believe that the US political system is ripe for a new major political party. I feel like the new fault line in American politics is big government vs small government. Both the GOP and DEM establishment are big government crony capitalism.

"If the American people ever allow private banks
to control the issue of their money,
first by inflation and then by deflation,
the banks and corporations that will
grow up around them (around the banks),
will deprive the people of their property
until their children will wake up homeless
on the continent their fathers conquered." Thomas Jefferson

The Federal Reserve and its ability to inflate and deflate the money supply is an abomination that needs to be destroyed.

You also realize we followed a more hamiltonian idea of what America was to be right? If we followed Jefferson's ideals we would be an agrarian society - most likely never a super power.

What's your point? I quoted Jefferson's spot on prediction of our current situation.

Btw awesome comment from some random dude.

"Hah, the smear tactics will never stop an idea who time has come. No govt, no army, no amount of media bias err propaganda for the establishment can stop an idea. And the best thing for this the country (and the worst thing for you) is that it is going to be very difficult to change people's minds. Paul's ideas have a spawned a whole generation of people who are going to espouse those ideas vociferously for decades to come. Say bye-bye to your gravy train from DC"
