at 3:56 PM, Thursday December 8, 2011 EST I've thought some about Politics - Money
The way I would see it done is eliminate corporate donations to political campaigns and either eliminate lobbying or put major reforms on lobbying (not sure what type of reforms would be effective). Essentially I would like to see less influence of special interests because it seems that most legislation gets totally watered down so much, and that politicians are more at the mercy of lobbyists and corporations than constituents. |

at 4:06 PM, Thursday December 8, 2011 EST I tend to be more left on many issues so I'm curious how Thraxle thinks we could remove some of the money influence in our system since he's more on the right. I definitely agree with what he's saying though, and I'd say that most americans probably agree regardless of which side of the political spectrum they lean towards.

at 4:16 PM, Thursday December 8, 2011 EST sigh... he does nail it on a few key areas, however, none of it really matters. We are currently experiencing the exact same highly predictable events that have occurred without exception whenever any society/government has begun to fund both it's social programs and military expansion through the introduction of fiat money. Along with the above sequences comes transfer of wealth and knowing where and how to position yourself. You're either in the know and benefit from all of the above or witness your own personal wealth become eroded as it's worth is transferred over to those ahead of the game. It's been done over and over again WITHOUT fail. Simple math really.

at 4:42 PM, Thursday December 8, 2011 EST Reduce or eliminate taxes, subsidies, and regulation on production and focus more on the consumption side because producers are more likely to be concentrated in particular areas and have disproportionate political/lobbying clout while consumers will tend to be more dispersed.
