at 1:46 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST You know she politicked the hell out of bill. That's probably the reason she had so many boosters for her campaign because all she had to do was whisper 'lewinski' in Bill's ear and suddenly The boosters come flocking.

at 1:46 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST Yeah that's a terrible answer for "Why I hate Hillary..." To be honest here, Hillary is probably as close to you can get to the perfect wife - she was pretty decent looking when she was younger, she is smart (so it's a guarantee your legacy aka kids won't be dumbed down by your significant other) and she is okay with you getting what you can't get from her elsewhere (blowjobs and whatnot).
If anything she should be praised for how she handled the infidelity - but I may be called chauvinist or some other feminist bullshit for saying that. I also don't understand the American fascination with politician's sex lives and why this matters to how effective of a governor one is. In Europe nobody really gives a shit about this sort of thing (DSK's perp shot fiasco is a different thing entirely). I do understand reprimanding politicians who campaign on "family values" or other such moral nonsense who get caught doing this sort of thing though as that's blatant hypocrisy. I don't see the point in caring otherwise. Newt Gingrich for instance pursued the the impeachment of our 42nd president while he himself was having an affair. That is hypocrisy and that is deserving of criticism. |

at 2:54 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST Personally I think all of those people deserve criticism; including Bill Clinton.
Trust me; I think Gingrich is a sleeze; but you can't say that Gingrich committed hypocrisy and therefore is fair game. Bill Clinton lied under oath to the American people; while sitting as president. I think the whole Monica Lewinsky crap was bullshit; but the guy lied under oath. "I did not have sexual relations with that woman." Epic lie. |

at 6:21 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST I don't think he should have had to take an oath or even discuss the issue in front of congress in the first place. The only reason he did was because, get this, the speaker of the house clamored for it - while simultaneously having an extramarital affair of his own. That's hypocrisy and that's why he is more culpable that Clinton in my eyes. Hypocrisy is worse than lying about shit that has no ramifications whatsoever on the nation's fate. Unless you didn't think Clinton lied about stuff you shouldn't care either - perjury or not - politicians lie, don't be naive. Even Ron Paul has told a few lies or half truths in his day I am sure - how else do you think he managed to be a career politician?

at 6:45 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST Clinton lied about something that wasn't even political. He got a blowjob, so what? He doesn't want his personal life flung out into the open, I don't blame him for lying there. If it had been for something a little bit more politically related I might be in an uproar about the whole predicament. Either way, that was ages ago.

at 8:09 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST Personally I don't care about the Lewinsky trial at all. I still don't. However I think it is worthy of impeachment if the president lies to the American people; especially under oath.
That being said; it is only a minor reason to not like Clinton. My main reason for not liking Clinton is that he is part of the same group of people who got us here. I don't like Clinton for the same reasons; I don't like the either Bush. |

at 8:19 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST dead - I have the sour feeling that you are one of those people that goes around thinking rules are rules because their enforcement is necessary to keeping order, without ever thinking about the logic or reasoning behind them. For instance: running a red light is against the law, but if there's nobody around and your wife is going into labor it's pretty excusable and cop would likely see it the same way. You see, this is because the intent of the law is to prevent accidents, not delay a pregnant woman's arrival to the hospital.
A bit of a ramble, but I hope that makes sense and I hope it cures you of your random dogma for perjury. If the government lies to its people we should be able to lie to the government IMO. |
