at 9:49 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST After all these years; I feel like you still have zero idea of who I am as a person. Which is odd to me.
You are wrong about your assessment. Lying of any kind; is a complete deal breaker for me. Honesty is probably my number one quality in a president. If I can't trust the guy who cares about this other skills. In fact, this is exactly as the founders saw it as well. |

at 9:56 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST Btw it is funny that you call me dogmatic for requiring honesty as a trait of my presidential picks. Do you enjoy being lied to?
You should remember that you have far more to lose by a lying president than I do. You are young and at the beginning of your life. You shouldn't sell yourself short; you deserve a candidate that doesn't lie. |

at 10:16 PM, Tuesday December 20, 2011 EST As much as we all appreciate your closing quip of condescending remarks whenever you "agree to disagree" with someone deadcode, I am going to make something abundantly clear.
Attack my argument, not my character, respond to my argument, not my character, don't engage in an intellectual discussion if you are going to resort to ad hominem bullshit like "lol im programmer and you're a business student i win lol." If you are naive enough to think ANY career politician is honest then we are done here. Frankly, if you think anyone is genuinely honest at all times you are naive. Now there is a huge difference between liking that politicians lie and accepting it - you're a young guy with your whole life ahead of you, I'm sure you'll figure that out one day. Lastly - for those who aren't delusional the narrative has always been "the public is kept in the dark about certain things because if it knew there would be pandemonium." This is not unlike what Otto von Bismarck said about the legislative process. I am sure there is some truth to both adages, but I am also sure there's a lot we aren't told because of private interests as opposed to our public interests. Once again, I accept that politicians lie (without exception) and I may not like it when they do. But I am not naive enough to become enthralled by a politician and think "oh this is the guy! he is the messiah! he won't let me down! he can't tell a lie!" It is literally politician's job to make you like him, if you don't realize Ron Paul (a career politician) is doing exactly that then you're severely lacking perspective. |
