The usual post, plus rankings:
Just say so if you'd like to join. If you have any questions about calculations or anything, just ask, and I'll happily answer. Suggestions are also always welcome and listened to. In fact! Monte recently suggested normalising the percentage profiles so everyone is on even footing- since not everyone's percentage profiles add to the same number. It's a small change, but it's an important one in my opinion. An average of 35 games per month are required, so your current total needs to be at least 385 games in order to participate. The TAZD* game bonus cap is 200 games per month- so, right now, it's 2200 games. Unless someone specifically requests otherwise, I'll also include everyone in the yearly TAZD. So far, I've included everyone with sufficient games that joined up to June. I'll add in the later entries soon. If you'd like to be removed, just say so, and I'll take you out no questions asked. CURRENT LEADERS: TAZD*: grandgnu, olkainry38, 1st.skyler ASRm: olkainry38, grandgnu, montecarlo ASR: Fonias, montecarlo, dasfury Spreadsheet is viewable and downloadable here: http://bit.ly/s8gXj2 It displays all this information as well as formulas for each system, players' percentage profiles, points, games, etc. This is sorted by TAZD*. Wait, a scoring system that actually only rewards good play? This sort of craziness will not be accepted by our dogmatic stat overlord! |

Does it take number of stabs into account? |

Unless your ranking with the regular TAZD, where getting a better place may actually hurt your score. |

at 11:33 AM, Monday December 5, 2011 EST what another excellent counterexample to the tazd measuring skill (im no longer typing it in caps, its not worthy of it).
lets say you have 6% 1sts. you win a game. your tazd drops. because, obviously, winning a game means you are less skillful than before. im just kidding, that example means you are a child, and the tazd is childproof. |

at 11:46 AM, Monday December 5, 2011 EST lol. I'm sure skrum would just argue that that loss makes you less of some sort of animal sterotype, so you're obvious less skilled.
It's really humorous because the twisted logic is so extreme. |

at 5:15 PM, Monday December 5, 2011 EST Points are irrelevant in determining overall skill level.
The "top" players are competing against the same distribution of players over and over, they have friendships, pga's or multis they take advantage of, etc. When I sit at a table, I have no allies, no friendships, it's me against 6 people with nobody I can assume is going to have my back in that match. And I don't have the advantage of previous gameplay and knowledge over a significant period of time with the same players to know what to anticipate in terms of who will move in which ways. When the "top" players can compete on an individual basis without friends, AND beat me in the TAZD or TAZD*, then they can talk. Until then, quit ur bitching and recognize that I pwn all you n00bs |

at 8:31 PM, Monday December 5, 2011 EST its impossible to win the argument against gnu. so dont waste your time. i finally got him to the point where he was forced to acknowledge that i was an out-and-out cheater no matter how i defended my play.
really there should be a TAZD for each table level, but Ryan doesnt record those stats, sadly. then gnu could be crowned the one-eyed king (in the land of the blind). funny, gnu, you know what 0-table and 100-table players say about 500-table players? exactly what you say about 2k and 5k. sorry dude, look in the mirror, you are a circlejerk pga otf cheater. sucks, eh? |
