being a mod is not a piece of flair, like a star or a + for a contribution. it's not about having "status" in the community. it's about moderating the site. that means actively trying to clean out the shit from the website. thrax and sam seem to think it's just a piece of flair, they play/forum just like anyone else except with the "air" of being a mod. verms just isn't active whatsoever, and should probably be de-modded like Bone-roller was (although i'm not sure as to why bone-r was de-modded? he wasn't bad). the only moderator that understands what his job is is jurgen. jurgen does make his fair share of mistakes, but at least he tries to make the site better.

If you haven't noticed, nobody is ever satisfied here. Everyone wants something changed, or undone, or more moderation, or less moderation, or new point systems, or teamplay, or Ryan to be involved, or a ban to be removed, or a ban to be in place, etc., etc., etc. I don't have a problem with you "speaking your mind" but when you start the conversation with "being a mod is not a piece of flair, like a star or a + for a contribution. it's not about having "status" in the community.", then where can I go with the conversation other than to defend myself??? Your thoughts weren't well thought out, they weren't helpful to anyone, they were a simple attack on particular moderators. How is that "leading by example"? Sounds to me like you're just tearing people down. Same ol', same ol'... |

so maybe i'm wrong and the site wasn't better - but i do know the traffic peaked a little bit after i started playing and then started to fall. |
