this this doesn't mean he can't be charming and socially adept when serve his interests.
psychopaths and sociopaths can be very high functioning in their interactions with others. ironically, those who have trouble "fitting in" are not usually antisocial at all but troubled in other ways.

also, hervey is probably right when he says veta's great confidence in himself--an offshoot of his pathological narcissism--will be a good predictor of his future success in the business world. i would add that his utter lack of conscience and basic moral regard for others will also serve him particularly well in crushing any and all competition.

cant say im fascinated. he was amusing for awhile but if the patterning reads right, i think it does (aspects of it) he's hardly original or anything unique. I've encountered others much better at it, hence the trail of disaster he leaves behind I suspect will be one of recklessness or plain obliviousness, (if that isn't obvious already) as opposed to shrewd social/corporate maneuvering. Given that the stakes are so much higher in the real world, it wouldn't surprise me if he takes much more care there to conceal his manipulations. All that is at stake here is his reputation, which he clearly delights in seeing ruined over and over for all to see. The attention he gets here, even though negative, feeds his his narcissism. But I would not conclude that he behaves similarly in the real world. Veta is certainly cunning enough to know better.

actually i don't.. that's pretty much a given and assume already that to be the case "here". Been a few (not necessarily the obvious ones) blunders I've noticed, that even here qualify as being foolish to have allowed slip by. Dude tips his hand in ways I'm convinced he's not aware of. Given that it's outside of his conscious awareness, you can't conceal what you you're not aware of or even believe exists.

Sorry, but I'm forced to disagree. I just don't see it based upon what I'm looking at. In the real world he might achieve marginal success eliminating those simply plodding along and naive enough to become victims, sure, I'll give you that much, but there's simply too many out there that would eat his lunch on any given day and have him continue to serve it up again the following monday, all of it to his confusion I might add. I've met them, worked for them and seen what they're capable of and quite frankly having been subjected to it long enough and survived marginally long enough to get a nice glimpse of the model and it's inner workings to have identified it's structure. And a structure it is. It's definable, measurable and demonstrable enough to be accurately conveyed. Although not a 100% reliable, having that is perhaps the best defense one can own. Veta, far as I can tell doesn't appear to posses much of the - equation - on "either side", but again that's only my opinion. What you're referring to is contextual, which you seem to be ignoring, that sure, AT SOME LEVEL, he's probably capable of inflicting damage. So what. Even the tards and the incompetent have show ability in that realm given the opportunity.
