Peter Schiff + Occupy Wall Street

Did anyone watch the video of Peter Schiff talking to some OWS protesters?

If not here it is: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/10/27/peter_schiff_takes_on_occupy_wall_street_protesters_again.html

Sure there are some loons amongst them; but overall I think the crowd is pretty smart. Seems like I would be in agreement with many there. Certainly not all; but some/many.

I think they need a better PR strategy and a cohesive message.

perhaps some corporate backers, like the tea party movement?

True, there aren't any corporations or wealthy individuals backing OWS.

Having a corporate sponsor would defeat the purpose of Occupy Wall Street.

sometimes i feel sorry for you americans, cause your vote means shit. you can choose between 2 parties, both under major lobbyist control. isnt that frustrating? thats not really a democracy. the people have no power. they just get to tell who pulls a few strings in the next term.

its a smart move of all those protesters to take politics to the street, cause there is no way they can represent their political opinion with their vote.

i blame you europeans and drawing us into your wars. if we never entered ww1, the germans probably would've won - there never would've been a WW2 (at least not a fascist vs all one) and most likely the US would've never had an adversarial relationship to the soviets - ultimately meaning there was no cold war and no military industrial complex today (or world policing by the US)

I don't think a cohesive message is forthcoming. They seem to be anti-cohesion. It's a "hey, you angry about anything? not getting your fair share? come join teh protest!" sort of movement.

I expect as winter comes it will die down, as Burning Man New York becomes not so much fun anymore when it's below zero outside, and the media loses interest. It won't get a political party backing them, because every party is afraid of being associated with the wackos that they can't shut up.
