Well I'm not sure there was anything to miss Verms, it seems like you're comparing apples and oranges. That wikipedia you sent me was referring to hardcore pornography, as opposed to soft-core pornography which is what we're dealing with in this thread - at least according to wikipedia (if you read the wiki link I replied to you with).

I'd agree that in both cases, both avatars are not hardcore pornography. But then are they both softcore pornography? is softcore pornography allowed on the website? There in lies the rub. And we're back to where we started I guess.

Except your last post was worded as a pretty reasonable couple of questions. That is progress at this point, as I think many of your posts came across as attacks rather than reasonable discussion (and you weren't alone in this, I'm not suggesting as much.)

At the end of the day everyone is human, including mods, and we're each going to try to do the best by the site, in the best way we can. Without any (or very minimal) guidance from Ryan, the mods are themselves going to do things different at times, both from each other and what other individuals would expect.

This case, in particular, is challenging. The Supreme Court itself can't even define hard-core porn, so trying to come up with a concrete definition of soft core is even more difficult, and something that isn't likely to occur on an internet forum.

I think we can all agree to disagree on this, and move on. Or at least I think that's the best way forward; I don't think much more productive is going to happen here.

That's a pretty reasonable summation verms, it's fine by me. I still would like to hear bone-roller's input on the matter though if he ever musters the courage to post :P
