at 12:17 PM, Wednesday October 19, 2011 EDT Mrk; OccupyWallStreet has officially stated that they have not yet released an official set of demands.
And they ask that you don't list demands for them. Shame on you Mrk :p Occupy Wall Street has been very open about their lack of demands or collected set of grievances. They say they are working on it. http://occupywallst.org/forum/stop-listing-demands/ Also The Occupy movement was started by this post on Adbusters: http://www.adbusters.org/blogs/adbusters-blog/occupywallstreet.html |

at 12:21 PM, Wednesday October 19, 2011 EDT #OWS is a leaderless decentralized movement.
Suggesting they have some sort of leadership or someone suggesting that they are some sort of leadership of the movement is asinine. The list of demands we've seen are generally agreed upon grievances and demands by the protesters at large. Most of those demands are probably on picket signs in New York or T-shirts. |

On that specific day and time; people show up at Wall Street and build kitchens, tents, etc. Yet they have no leader... |

at 1:15 PM, Wednesday October 19, 2011 EDT Adbusters on July 13: "On September 17, we want to see 20,000 people flood into lower Manhattan, set up tents, kitchens, peaceful barricades and occupy Wall Street for a few months. Once there, we shall incessantly repeat one simple demand in a plurality of voices."
Adbusters: "The beauty of this new formula, and what makes this novel tactic exciting, is its pragmatic simplicity: we talk to each other in various physical gatherings and virtual people's assemblies … we zero in on what our one demand will be, a demand that awakens the imagination and, if achieved, would propel us toward the radical democracy of the future … and then we go out and seize a square of singular symbolic significance and put our asses on the line to make it happen." So Adbusters openly talks of Occupying areas; settings up kitchens, tents, assembly grounds for coming up with a set of demands. People showed up; build kitchens, tents, assembly grounds. They are meeting and trying to come up with a platform of demands and grievances. This is clearly stated in all reporting, eyewitness reports, occupy volunteers, youtube videos, etc. http://www.adbusters.org/blogs/adbusters-blog/occupywallstreet.html |
