You justified the permaban as other websites are doing it... In your quote, you very rightly say that other people disagreing with veta doesnt make him wrong. I still disagree with the permaban. This is just a game after all.

I believe in the rules it states no hate language. I would classify the word "faggot" hate language.

Only veta would completely disagree with a mod not banning for hate speech and then advocating for the release of a shared, cheating account with a racist name.

ehervey, if you would actually read my bost, I did not justify this permaban. In fact, I said that it would be a good rule of thumb for mods to not do this sort of thing.

However, I did point out that permabans in general are not at all unusual in the gaming world, and you shouldn't be surprised that they exist here as well.

Understood... So should we enact rules here so that we take something out of this conversation:
1) Mod cannot perform their jobs while they are playing (means revisiting past events when it happened).
2) Permaban, as a general rule, should be avoided and would only occurs if acounts have been warned before (3 times?)?

If 3 warnings were all that was required then there would probably be about 15 permabans our there......as it is there's only maybe 3, which can't be enforced anyways.

Why do people bitch about perma bans? There is nothing permanent about them. New accounts can be created. New IPs can be obtained. And the same douchebags can come back time and again.
