Someone saying that doesn't have the mental capacity to make me mad, they are simply trying to provoke a response with stupidity. I realize this and it doesn't bother me.
Now, if someone knew that my father was dying of cancer and they specifically said something like "Fuck you thrax, I'm glad your dad is dying of cancer" then in THAT context it becomes offensive. Someone simply saying "get cancer and die" is not offensive, it's stupid. Sam knows Jona isn't a Downs kid, he was making an off-color remark regarding Jona. Now, if Sam knew Jona had a Down's Syndrome child and THEN he said that remark, it becomes offensive. The remark in its form in this post was meant to poke fun at Jona, not "downy kids". Are we on the same page now? |

Funny joke? No. Offensive? Maybe. Should be banned? No. Moderation lines are really wide in this site, so not worth complaining. Better question is, should they be more strict? With this mod situation, mods dont have resources to watch out everything happens here and i think we all have to accept this situation. Honestly, i would like that there wasnt so much hate around, but it belongs here. |
