NFL Week 1 Thoughts

Peyton Manning adds 6-8 wins to the Colts.....minimum

Eli Manning is horrible and should be embarrassed for comparing himself to his brother, and Brady, and Rodgers, and Brees, etc...

The Ravens were my pick for the AFC crown going into week 1 and they didn't diappoint by spanking the Steelers. 7 turnovers on a sloppy day from Big Ben & Co.

The Packers and Saints were entertaining on Thursday night and both look like offensive juggernauts. We could see them again in the NFC Championship game.

The Cowboys blew the biggest 4th quarter lead in team history and Sanchez looked pretty damn good last night. The Cowboys could be good, but like the Giants, mistakes and turnovers could be their demise.

Tampa Bay came into the season on a high and no longer the underdog! Then they lost to the much improved Detroit Lions. Matthew Stafford was solid and will be all season.

My Redskins got a W against their nemisis the New York Giants. Rex Grossman was solid and interception free. The Skins stayed dedicated to the run despite little success moving it on the ground. The defense was stout, recorded 4 sacks, scored a touchdown, and shoutout Eli and the G-men in the second half.

The Eagles started slow, but a Steven Jackson injury made it a little easier and the offense looked great by the end of the game. The jury is still out on whether these new look Eagles will jell by the end of the season, but they looked good in Week 1.

Tonight my other fave in the AFC will get an easy W......the New England Patriots.

AFC Championship New England vs Baltimore
NFC Championship Green Bay vs Philadelphia

Super Bowl Baltimore vs Green Bay

Champion Green Bay

I need five points tonight from Tomlinson for the win. ESPN projects five, which I sort of view as their 'we don't really have a clue.'

Anyone have any predictions?

I was down 59 last year with only Vick going into Monday Night Football when he scorched my Redskins. 71 points and the win!!!

That's pretty sweet. Who was it against - I bet they were pissed.

Nah, it wasn't in KDice league. The points are too low for someone to pull off 71. My other two leagues are heavy in bonus points (300 yards = +5, 100 yards = +5, TD > 40 yards = +5)....so big point totals can happen at times.

9.9 + 6 + 5........1 more yard and he gets another 5 point bonus......so yeah 26 points for that catch.
