Just to make sure I'm not at fault here

Ok so here's the deal. I'm at home for the summer about to move up for university in a week. About a month ago I go up to find one of my friends had already moved into the room I wanted, and the landlord says it's first come first serve so I think fuck it, nothing I can do.
So all there is left is another decent room, and a small shitty room that noone wants. I go to the landlord's house and pick up the keys for the decent room, and it is then locked with some of my things in it. I am content. Today I get a facebook message from the last kid, saying that he called the room I took from the first time we went to see the house (which is true), and therefore he called a locksmith to change the locks on my room, and to make him a new key so he could move into my room. Is this normal? In my opinion, that room is my private property... Neither he nor the landlord has the right to unlock or literally break in to my room, take my shit out and put theirs in, just because he was the last to rent his room from the landlord... |

at 12:13 PM, Monday August 29, 2011 EDT The part I don't understand is that 4 of you agreed on room-distribution. You found a 5th that also agreed at first.
Now that 5th changes the rules. Roomdistribution is not a landlord-issue, he gives you the house in total and doesn't care how you live inside (sleep all in one room if you like). So calling him is nonsense in the first place. The question is, why do the other 3, belonging to the 1st party, agree to that maneuver of number 5? Did he bribe them? Did you piss them off? This would be the question most striking me. Because if this behaviour is judged "legal" after the next vacations there might have been a lot of movement... Did you talk about the matter with the other 3? I can fully understand the one removing you from "his" room - you probably should have done the same with number 5. He insists on the first agreement to be true. He should insist on it being true for you as well, thus moving number 5 to the small room. Talk to your 3 mates of the 1st group, maybe you need to remove number 5. |

at 12:19 PM, Monday August 29, 2011 EDT Btw; this whole story is very analogous to kdice. Why do people get positions over others? It is all social maneuvering etc. Roommate 5 chat pwn'd while jproducts wasn't there and now he is on the losing side of a 4v1. GG
Solution: Get a set of friends who are more introverted then extroverted or gain higher social status. |

at 9:52 AM, Tuesday August 30, 2011 EDT I thought this issue more important than bragging about how a gay guy slept at a hot girls house due to CNN filling their newsgap with some overrated wind. This is a subject that can easily be transferred to any part of the world and deals with honesty and keeping a given word - if you like (as dc said) it could even be related to backstabbing at kdice. A long connect, but if you need it, take it.
I am pissed as this forum discusses any shit happening in the usa. There is no discussion on ISS-support failing, there is no discussion on Chinese Mineworkers being saved (some, not all), there is no discussion on anything out side the usa. If you were discussing the much more severe effects of that hurricane on other countries at the time it still was a hurricane - ok for me, I see interest in world matters (though no relation to kdice, but what the heck). But being the selfish bunch of halfwits you are, you care about New York alone, a stupid city that fails to be prepared for what happens every couple of years. NO natural catastrophe has been an issue here - unless it hit the Home of the Dumb. So we see, worldpolitics do matter to kdice, if the world was defined as the usa. |

at 11:09 AM, Tuesday August 30, 2011 EDT Louis you have the ability to start threads; and the vast majority of kdice players are American so threads are always going to be weighted that way.
Norway and japan were discussed during the attack and nuclear leak etc; so I think your recollection is flawed as well. Beyond that; you keep reply to these posts instead of starting your own topics about things you care about. Stop being lazy and create the topics you want; don't depend on others to carry your weight or you will continue to be disappointed. |

GET EVICTED!!! 8 years from now...they probably won't remember or you can pay enough money to get freed from the lease and Don't tell them, let the cops come and move them from the property that would screw them for sure... granted you'd have to pay a hella amt of money considering you'd be paying for all of you to be freed from the lease...the look on their faces, when they found out, would probably be worth it |
