im not sure that mods r stupid was in violation of any rules, and to ban him for his name is such an abuse of power it drives me wild that you all seem to think it is legit.

The Future & Point Whores
I'm at a point where I'm rethinking quite a few things about the structure and future of the games. I want to get feedback about the future of this game from the people who love this game as much as I do.

First of all I'd like to let all the point whores know that since they don't respect the game, I don't respect their opinion for this question. Accumulating points is meant to be secondary with the fun of the game of primary importance - and the majority of everyone has it right.

So, let me know your thoughts and ideas. I'd like to hear big long term vision ideas and not features like mouse-over-display or game playback (although these are great featuers). If you were to forget everything about kdice except the in-game experience how would build big and great things around it?

I simply ask you to experiment with one of your local police offers by walking up to him/her, looking them in the eye, and they saying "fuck you". Let me know how it turns out?

As for the rest of what you are talking about, I'd like to know how you would moderate this community? There are people like you that wish for there to be less stringent rules on "hate speech", where there are others that deem that we haven't done enough to prohibit "hate speech". So I ask you to ponder the question, what is and isn't OK here? What screennames are and aren't OK? Give me a list of what you think is OK and perhaps we can start a dialogue with the community regarding their thoughts as well.

I think you'll find that there is no concensus that can be found and we are left to our own discretion on what is and isn't OK. Some have different discretions than others, but there isn't simply black and white rules here. So for you to state that we should govern based on Ryan's limited set of rules, I ask you first to interpret what his rules mean.

General Rules

Dear Ryan,

The fun has been moderated and flagged out of this game. The internet was once a place that promoted creativity and networking. This site thrived in an environment where players had made connections with other players and played to win. To counter those connections you would have to form your own. Alliance making in game and out of game has always been the true fun of kdice. Reapeating a statistical algo over and over will hardly keep someone devoted, the social experiment was what made us come back. Sadly due to the institution of flags and the nanny like state of the site, you can only "win" by churning 500 games a month. The hunt for medals and acceptance into the higher tables will only leave us wanting for something else, fun. At the end of the day the medals and points are worthless IRL but the fun enjoyed with others is what we all are truly hoping to find here. Sadly your site is just not fun anymore. Flagging has killed the true spirit of risk/dicewars which was to be first. To the mods who consider us their kChildren, enjoy your pedestal of significance. We all know you favor your own and give out justice discriminantly.

The fun that you speak of is a lot of fun, I agree. Kdrama is always interesting. But that fun is usually for the vast minority of the most outspoken players, while the vast majority are left to suffer simply because they don't want to scheme/cheat/proxy/nuke/pingbomb/load freerolls/share accounts/etc. etc.

What's fun for the few isn't necessarily what's fun for the many. For you to think otherwise is shortsighted and obtuse.
