That moniker can be placed on almost any President in a time of strife. Being a good enough LEADER to get others to do what they need/should in tough times is exactly what makes great Presidents GREAT.

You have a point though. Obama took over as we entered the worst economic crisis in 80 years. 80 years ago Roosevelt had far more congressional support when adjusting policy in wake of the depression. The only "yes" vote he's gotten from the GOP was for Bush Policies. He can't even appoint cabinet positions without dealing with silent holds.

Obama is even losing support from some IN HIS OWN party. When you can't even keep your own in times of crisis, you've failed as a leader.

for his first two years, i thought obama had a majority in both houses, so it wasn't just republican bipartisanship that was keeping his agenda from going through.
