Shouldn't congressmen be smart enough to know you can't pick up young boys via twitter; without picking up national attention. Even if he was hacked; still hilarious and deserved.

In other news; DOW -200; GOLD UP; Jobs Down; QE3 Coming soon;

Boogy; I think you are missing the point; no one is outraged by the picture of his dick.

They are outraged by his lying; and not just him; all of them. They are all a bunch of liars.

I can't believe the fact that we can't even rely on them to tell the truth to their own wives; yet we rely on them to tell us the truth about the economy.

Let's face it; they are no more intelligent at covering up their infidelities then they are at improving our ever day lives.

My point is that they are untrustworthy and need their power drastically reduced.

Remember what Weiner's first response to this whole mess was? He denied that it happened; claimed that his political enemies hacked him (federal crime) and started attacking the messengers (the women, breitbart, etc).

This is a dangerous situation for those of us looking for the truth. Those in power are fully willing to destroy the careers and lives of people to cover up their lies.

Why are you not able to see this?

I don't think your moral critique of his personal life strengthens your political critique of his policies. In fact, it makes your whole argument seem stupid. Most married people cheat on their spouses at some point. Why even pretend to be outraged? Its just annoying.

@BO,

Thanks for the compliment.

Boogy: "I don't think your moral critique of his personal life strengthens your political critique of his policies. In fact, it makes your whole argument seem stupid. Most married people cheat on their spouses at some point. Why even pretend to be outraged? Its just annoying."

I would have no issues with him if his only failing is lying to his loved ones. My issues arise when that person steps into the public arena; and thus my life is influenced by him. I'd prefer my elected officials to be honest.

Boogy once again; no one is outraged by his personal failings; they are only outraged by him breaking the oath of office he took. Lying to constituents is a violation of his duty as a congressman (to represent his district). Maybe you don't care about this; but I do. You may not be interested in protecting yourself from these theives but I am.

What do you want me to say? I apologize for being angry about being lied to? Boogy perhaps you are beyond caring about being lied to; but I'm not. In fact; more likely the case; you are just beyond caring about politics. If that is true; then why weigh in at all? Just continue on with your life and hopefully these people will never effect your life; but don't bet on it.

Boogy; also now that I read your post; I realize more and more what you are saying.

Basically you are saying "everyone cheats" so why do you care so much?

Boogy; if you seriously think that everyone lies and cheats in life; then you are seriously mistaken. I actually am a bit concerned for you; if this is your current state of trust in other people.

As far a what you would do as a politician, being evasive in the first place was the right move, it gave him a good week to set up the damage control he surely knew he would have to be doing.

Now I don't give a shit about him trolling chicks on twitter and facebook, married or not this behavior doesn't bother me. Being evasive about it annoys me of course.

More politicians should take the tact of sports figures and make it just common knowledge that powerful man fuck around, it is pretty much a biological imperative. Could save a shit ton of them political fallout over silly shit.
