TC: "Rand Paul is my senator"

I'm soooo jealous. My senator is Charles Schumer. Someone shoot me...

BO: "Rand Paul is the one blocking the Patriot Act not Ron Paul. "

Yeah you are right; I was confused by the big picture of Ron on your link. Then it keeps saying Senator Paul.

But Ron Paul is also against the patriot act. On the same grounds as Rand.

Yes Liberals/Conservatives both have lot in common with Libertarians.

Libertarians are like liberals/conservatives without all the corruption and coercive ideology.

i dont think any rational libertarians would want to dismantle the national infrastructure when it comes to the people (schools, poverty assistance, etc), although im sure there are those that do.

i do think that rational libertarians want to suppress the power of the federal govt from forcing the individual to buy certain things or pay overly burdensome taxes.

"Seeing as you started the trend of quoting reality tv stars as backing for your political arguments; I might as well continue the trend. "

Remember that time you voted for the most fiscally irresponsible president in our history?

"Today's events further underscore the U.S. government's lack of transparency and accountability to the American people."
-rand paul

I don't get why it's okay for rand paul to suggest the government is more transparent and accountable but if a progressive suggests it deadcode loses his shit

also rob i think it depends on how you measure fiscal irresponsibility (certainly bush wins on a variety of categories) but I am drawing a blank as to a naming a single category obama could reasonable contend in without exploding the debt and doubling the deficit.

Remember you have to measure this stuff relative to what expenses their administration added and relative to their purposeful decreases in revenue (be it from cutting excise taxes or income tax).
