Would you cut spending even if it meant losing a serious amount of jobs?

at 5:12 PM, Wednesday March 2, 2011 EST Skrum I have a question pertaining to media regulation. Do you honestly think it was a good idea to undo the Fairness Doctrine?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_Doctrine Basically it forces the media to provide a fair and balanced view of public issues. It's also the only thing holding back Fox News' Canadian counterpart Sun News from being launched. |

at 5:13 PM, Wednesday March 2, 2011 EST Sam you realize conservatives can't answer a question if it hasn't been answered for them on Fox News right?

at 6:42 PM, Wednesday March 2, 2011 EST Subsidies can have valid uses so I will not say I am against all subsidies. Entitlements that have been made should be honored but sometimes that might not be possible. If not all claims can be honored then according to the particular situation some or all will have to do with less. New entitlements should not be made if they are not affordable.

at 7:48 PM, Wednesday March 2, 2011 EST and in this case, i will vote for whomever has the plan to turn our deficit into a surplus, sooner rather than later. in my naive mind, that means more taxes and less spending. and smaller military, ofc.
and i liked clinton's economic policy. hated his lewinksy ordeal, cus im a bible belt tool. but the mans cabinet balanced the budget. hed get my vote for that. which brings up the following point. stop trying to condescendingly throw me into a party-vs-party fight. i vote for whomever shares my values the most. if he/she happens to be republican, great. if democrat, great. if ron paul alien, great. |

One of the tags for the story says "tax breaks". I couldn't find any details about what the vote was about, but if it was to preserve a tax break: a tax break is not a subsidy. |
