at 1:30 PM, Monday February 28, 2011 EST Humanities leads to philosophy which leads to religion which is a pointless path that never ends because there are no answers to find that aren't written in a book that's at least 150 years old. Unless of course you're going to create your own new religion. Just remember to not drink the Kool Aid in the big circle with all your cult-mates.
Science > Humanities. |

at 1:50 PM, Monday February 28, 2011 EST Assuming both choices are equally amenable to your abilities (this is a problematic assumption), and coming from someone who didn't go the science route, I would pick science. If only because science (tends) to leave the door open for medical school more so than humanities. That is if you think medical school could be something you're interested in down the line.
By the way, if you're american, don't aim for law school unless you can realistically get into a top 25. If you're Canadian, any school is good. |

1) humanities is more than philosophy and philosophy is not necessarily the "foundation" of all humanistic fields. 2) since at least the 18th century (the Enlightenment) philosophy has been distinct from theology |

at 12:24 AM, Tuesday March 1, 2011 EST I've gone both routes.
If you have no drive to succeed and want to cry about past and current leaders failing then humanities is the way to go. You will get to indoctrinate a whole new generation with ideas that have no real basis for being on the planet. If you want to do something with your life (insert job, money, hot wife, good education for your kids) and help humanity you go into sciences. |
