the fiero mod bans are not in fact recognized as bans for cheating. guys that was so long ago, move forward.

I agree that anonymous mods would be much more beneficial for the mods than for the public. There's no "OMG JURGEN WORST MOD EVER WTF WHY DID YOU BAN ME" nonsense that way.

wish- the stance CD had stated previously was that anyone who has been modded in the past should be ineligible. He's amended his stance since then. :)

Correct. If you have been modded and are up for modship the question could be reviewed by existing mods as to why's and what fors....

I like Rob's take. I think anonymous mods would be the way to go but at the same time I am glad we know who the mods are so we can stake our cases to them in person when they are online.

That's the main reason shared mod accounts wouldn't work. Several anonymous mod accounts would work, though, as long as everyone had their own (and did not play on those accounts).

Anyone else notice how 80% of these posts are about people suggesting/defending their suggestion for modship?

Also I'd like to point out that the appointment of Chloe to mod would redress the deplorable absence of female mods on the site. I don't mean to offend, but I think the girls would generally do a better job of moderating the site because, oddly enough, they seem to be less ruled by their emotions (and blind rage in particular).

We don't need to pussify this site anymore. I am tired of pussies.
