is like a millionaire playing a 1$ blind poker cash game. It's unfair, it's a waste of time, it's unreasonable.

at 1:48 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST Also, if this were a game of probability and stats, I'm pretty sure I would kick ass, and I do not.
mo chara, is it entirely luck when I try to connect via a 4v2 then 3v1 instead of a 4v3 and 3v2? or is that skill? |

at 1:51 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST Also lager, at first I wrote something like what you had but then I looked at the numbers and didn't really like the organization. So I made it linear, so that the table entrance increases proportionally to the table cap. If I halved the caps I would have something similar to what you have which would be something like:
0: 500 100: 2500 500: 12500 2000: 50000 5000: 125000 (or unlimited) 10000: unlimited But yeah, I'd really like to see 10k tables again Oh and sorry for hijacking your thread |

Zoid earned +43,760 in 12 games today. Way to go zoid, earning like 3.5k each game on average. That's some hard pwnin', considering that other "pros" play high tables as well and his win % is nowhere near 15% for each place. Surely, other "pro" players as well as lucky noobs were no match for him. I wonder if they were his friends, after all, it's the end of the month.. Signing off. |

at 2:01 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST mo chara, what about connecting two lands (a 2stack and a 3stack) to an island by 2v2ing or 4v2ing. Also there is a player with a 5stack adjacent to your 4stack, he also has a 3 stack adjacent to your 3stack and needs to pass through your land to connect. You move first.
What is the wise move to make here? Do you 4v2 because that's a high probability win or do you 3v2, because that way you save your bigger stack and allow it the chance to stack up against the other player's 5stack. The third option which you haven't realized is to be diplomatic and tell the other player will move so he can connect, you just need a round to do so. That is called trucing by the way. |

at 2:04 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST option four, of course, would be to connect out of the other player's way, then if the other player doesn't follow and eat your tail, you're in a silent truce.
It seems to me that there is much more to this game than you believe, mo chara. |

at 2:28 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST Chloe if you read my post I said the other player HAS to go through your lands to connect, I didn't draw a picture so that may be hard to see. Anyway that's why I didn't add the option 4 silent truce :)

at 5:14 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST This argument has been had a dozen times, as i recall you started a thread about this a while back lager? Anyways forcing people to play higher tables would solve a lot of problems and would be one of he easiest systems to implement.
Just also want to point out that anyone who considers silent truces to be the same as a pre-game alliance obviously has no idea how the gzme works at the higher tables. For anyone who doesn't know a silent-truce is a truce made IN GAME with someone without the use of chat, by either moving away from someone and that person responding in a similar fashion or a play which mutually benifits both players. Note that a silent truce is not made before the game but like a normal truce depends on the game you are playing and the context of the game.It is NOT made before the game therefore it is not a PGA (Pre-Game Alliance) |
