is like a millionaire playing a 1$ blind poker cash game. It's unfair, it's a waste of time, it's unreasonable.

at 12:48 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST not playing the tables much doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about... ask anyone, I watch a lot, but don't play a ton. and as I said I have played in the past. It is a ridiculous statement to say that a person new to 2k or 5k cannot win the first time they sit, because I have done it.
you keep making paranoid assumptions. sit 2k more often and you'll get better. whining about sucking will get you nowhere. |

IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE THAT 2000/5000 TABLES ARE UNFAIR, GO AND PLAY THEM. ENJOY THE BUTTSECHS. There, spelled it in caps. |

at 1:00 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST 2k/5k are unfair in that the class of players that regularly play them are probably far more skilled than you average dicer, and definitely much more skilled than you reminder.
I like basketball but I wouldn't want to play basketball with Kobe Bryant or Lebron James because they would kick my ass (although it'd make for a cool story). Same goes for KDice, if you play with good players you will get your ass kicked and because you aren't experienced you will have no idea how it happened. |

Nice argumentum ad populum. A little spell check wouldn't hurt your credibility either, mo chara. Again, this thread is not about the supposed corruption of the higher tables, but about the risk averse players with high scores that are a pest at the 100s. An example: 2 players left, equal lands, I have 300 points, the other guy has 4985 points, I shit you not. I proposed to him to let me have the win, since he doesn't need the points to progress and apparently doesn't care about them. It is a small gain for him, but a huge gain for small players, being able to break into 500s. Obviously, he didn't do the reasonable thing, and continued to fight with me for over 10 minutes, eventually winning. Another example would be the constant bickering about flags, or lower places when these guys have thousands of points. Who cares if you lose -8 or -27? You have 100 times that many points! Just hit the flag and go play a real table, one that is appropriate to your score. |

at 1:11 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST I do sometimes play 2k and no I don't get raped every time, reminder. It is more difficult than 500 because the players are more skilled.
mo chara you are not the only one complaining. you bitch that 2k tables are full of pga when they aren't. it's pretty simple. you aren't as good as kdice as you think you are. the jump from 500 to 2k is bigger than the jump from 100 to 500 in terms of skill. SILENT TRUCES ARE NOT PGA. If I sit with someone and my start puts me tangled with someone else, anyone else, and I move away, and then move away from me on their turn, there's a silent truce. this isn't dependent on who i'm sitting with. I'm not "with all them" or any nonsense like that. how often have you played 2k that you make this judgement after all? is it your first month playing 2k? Do you think that playing five 2k games is sufficient to determine that everyone playing 2k is pga? or have you not considered that perhaps you are not skilled enough to play 2k successfully yet? |

at 1:12 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST also: kdice is as much a game of skill and strategy as risk, though clearly the skills and strategies are different.

at 1:13 PM, Thursday January 27, 2011 EST Also, I endorse the idea of putting lower caps on the lower tables.
I think a restructuring to something like this would work: 0: 1000 100: 5000 500: 25000 2000: 100000 5000: 250000 10000: (add one 10k table; unlimited) The biggest difference would be that you see a whole lot more 2k tables and as consequence I think a lot more people would be willing to play 5K. Plus more people would probably reach the 100k mark just by sheer volume of games. |
