at 1:31 PM, Monday January 24, 2011 EST You got me conan..I'm scared when i sit at a table :(
Well 2K and 500 will never be the same way to play... It's a lot about friendships for MOST actual top players (you won't revolt on a friend, you won't farm like hell a friend, you'll rather truce a friend, you won't 3v1 a friend) players whatever ppl answer say to that so i give you that point.. but not only.. You clearly lack of strategy for 2K or 5K in my opinion. Something you can discuss with some "top" players |

at 1:36 PM, Monday January 24, 2011 EST i think people need to be aware that on the 2k/5k tables that alot of the top players kill eachothers islands and do in game favours and eventualy truce..im not on about these 2players dont think i have played with them..im talking about 2k/5k tables in general..alot that play on them have been playing on this site for along time and they have freinds so they help them out...isnt to fair on players moving up tables...this is my opinion from watching a few games but i think most would agree

at 1:39 PM, Monday January 24, 2011 EST look, there is one chief rule about top tables: if you are quiet, you will be taken advantage of. not because people favor their friends, but because people realize the advantage they will have over someone who doesnt use the chatbox. talkative noobs ALWAYS do better than silent noobs. this has been discussed ad infinitum in forum for the past 3.5 years.

at 1:48 PM, Monday January 24, 2011 EST the problem is that on the lower tables people see players as a colour they couldnt care who the are but on the higher tables most know eachother so they play differently i wouldnt say its pga but they more likely to screw up a noobs game then some1 they know...which isnt fair they should see all players the same the noob has probaly worked harder to get the points for a game on the 2k/5k tables..

at 1:51 PM, Monday January 24, 2011 EST adding to monte's point, silent noobs are not trusted. If you don't know a player AND he doesn't chat, then he is a wild card. The conclusion of course is to truce with someone you know will do it. It doesn't even have to do with friendship many times.
I silent truce people i DON'T like frequently because I know they will recognize silent truces and it will result in me winning. Trucing is how you win at this game in the long run, period. Stop with the "wa! wa! wa! omg pga" Despite what the rules say, this ambiguous "pga" term is not actually against the rules....or at least not in the way that most complaints on here define it as. at 1:53 PM, Monday January 24, 2011 EST i agree that some of that exists. but i think more emphasis is placed on the answer to the question "okay, how dumb is this noob?"
every turn that goes by while noob is in 1st place, without noob saying ANYTHING (demanding flags, offering to be cool, whatever) is dramatically increasing the chances of everyone else silently trucing and gangbanging the noob. |
