4 people left in the tournament, they grouped up and took me out. Even after winning a 1v2 fight from a truce on round 1, the other player stepped in at the end and took me from 1st to 3rd. Another player had 43 pts left in the tournament and I was going to be 2nd place at least. Instead I got knocked out. I had begged the entire game to flag for 2nd even, because I knew the 3v1 was coming, and it wasn't allowed. There were many many high ranked witnesses.

at 11:39 AM, Monday November 16, 2009 EST monte didn't pga but nix played like an OTF with potato because he didnt immediately jump to counter the round 1 truce. Then even when find turned the tides and against all odds was beating potato, rather then let find have a fair go at fighting potato, nix came through and made fin lose a 2v1. Nix hadn't truced potato, he just said he'd sit back there and take 2nd. Not only did find say he's get 2nd, find also offered nix 1st if he joined in helping defeat potato.
It was OTF not PGA, and they also had tourney strat of knocking out find, though imo, the best strategy was for nix to take 1st and backstab potato cause he would have basically had an unbeatable advantage over everyone. |

Ummm, like thats not fucking true at all? |

at 11:14 PM, Monday November 16, 2009 EST First, there was no chance for me to counter in the second last round. I had already flagged and there was nothing I could do at that point from my corner. I was just keeping my word.
Second, in the last round, it would have been far more fair to allow a fair fight than to turn1 truce. I offered to flag below my current rank at that moment and every subsequent round. It was a position where (instead of trucing and knocking me out) Monte could have easily just allowed us to have a fair fight, or taken my offer to flag 2nd to him. This would have given him a commanding lead in the tournament (3k+) to the other 3 having less than 500 pts each. It would have been impossible for him to be knocked out in the following round and mathematically impossible for more than 2 opponents to be alive. It was a better tournament move to allow me a fair fight or to accept my flag and a better way of keeping the game fair. I'm sad to see someone who "helped" all game as he claims watch, and ensure, that I come in last for the final 2 tables when I could easily have been a strong finish if I wasn't interfered with. You can call it tournament strategy all you like, but as I said, letting me fight or accepting the flag would have been even better if one can think 1 table ahead. |

at 11:17 PM, Monday November 16, 2009 EST All of this talk of thinking ahead tables and helping each other out all tourney is doing more harm than good here. It makes it look as though the two of you had a working agreement to work together all tourney that monte reneged on in the final two rounds.
I'd suggest both of you drop the subject in my humble opinion. /thread |

at 11:22 PM, Monday November 16, 2009 EST There was no real "helping all tourney long". By worked with Fin, he basically means I flagged below him and he didn't attack me, much as you would on any table where dom doesn't matter.
Moreover, it was all situational. I wasn't part of his buddy gang with Potato, like third game where I basically flagged 3rd to them both after seeing them just endlessly 2v1 everyone else. There was a pattern. I was flagging below him on every single table (either because potato was there working with him, or because it was a typical flag, not asking for help) except one, where he was in the other corner and I earned a win completely unrelated to him. |
