moon, honestly i havent read this whole topic because its sort of tl;dr. as far as thrax giving himself a +, i choose to see the humor in it. its sort of funny that he gave it to himself. not even fiero went that far (he only gave one to his uncle eddie for 'having the most medals and lots of friends' or something completely hollow like that.

i remember when i was really jealous of voh for having that +, because, being a points whore, i was also a whore for png's. and i only had gobs of trophies and stars (thanks wish), but no +. but now im on the other side of the fence, i find it shallow that you are so upset over a + that someone else has, whether it was earned or not. just doesnt seem that big of a deal to me now.

again, its only because i stopped being a point whore when i hit 1m pts. i laughed my way through getting my + when i ran into Gurgi over in gpokr, and after Gurgi decided he liked me after a few weeks, he wondered why i didnt have a + if i was #1 alltime, because in gpokr almost everyone who is anyone has multiple +++'s. he then told me that he basically had a mod in his pocket (the mocom dude, who is virtually invisible), and he would tell him to give me a +. i told him i didnt really care one way or the other, and thought it was funny. then the next day i had a plus, and for a definitely undeserved hollow reasoning too (i think mine says something empty like, awesome at kdice, i forget).

so, moon, in the end, my hope is that you not be so worked up over a + png, and choose to see the humor in it. i totally empathize with you and understand where youre coming from (because i felt the same way when fiero gave voh his +), but ive progressed through that stage, and feel like a grandfather to this site, where im in this retirement stage where everything is rosy, and who the fuck cares about pngs, and god what a prick i used to be.

Seriously, discussing with you is a pain. It's like debating with a 5 year old who always refers to the most irrelevant things in order to distract from the actual topic.

In your case, you just refuse getting the actual points I made. You were asking me to "stick to my own guns", so I virtually wrote an essay to make it clear why in my opinion I think Thraxle's actions are lame. However, the only thing you were picking up, was whether my point is really compatible (in the very sense of communication) with kam's position or not, when it's utterly irrelevant if our positions match.

Now in a very few words again, my points were:
1) Giving yourself a contributor badge is just lame.
2) The Thraxle account doesn't deserve a contributor badge in the first place.
3) There is no need to give Thrax/ KDICEMOD anything.

The three points you mention go against what kam originally said in his post, that is all I am trying to say. I'm not trying to disagree with you. Just saying if you want to make a point, it's good to not agree with people that are making the opposite point.
