"Tourney Strat" or game to game favor?

3 people left in today's Members Night tournament, myself, fiero600, and minibiatch. Fiero decided to eliminate me from the tournament, as long as minibiatch lagged out from the NEXT game, to give Fiero the point lead he would have had if he would have killed minibiach first. I was eliminated, and minibiatch flagged instantly at the start of the next game.
My understanding is that "tourney strats" like attacking the person with the highest points is fine. It's just not ok when you make an agreement to do something from one game to the next game -- even when it's just 2 or 3 people. Can I get a clarification here? Because if this is a legit strat, then I'll do it, but I thought it wasn't allowed. So is it a tourney strat or was this a game to game favor? From the rules: http://www.kdice.com/rules 1. obviously just taking out mini and have 1300 vs mini's 100 and kevin's 100 woulda been a pretty safe move... i just figured they'd go 2v1 against me and it would be a legit tourney strat for the rest of the tourney... now that i know that going 2v1 against the leader is illegal, ill play that situation differently. |

me 800+ fiero 400+ kevin ~100 Fiero clearly won the table, and even a revolt was not possible in any way - he had like 80% of the table with 8s, while kev and i had small 3-5 stacks in the south. It was clear that kevin would be out with 3rd, and me not. And fiero didnt even play a tourney strat, since he let kevin and me fight for 2/3, which ive won. So theres no game to game favor against kevin, there was just a game to game favor between two remaining people - the headsup guys. Which was kinda gay, since tourney strat would kill kevin, i defeated kevin, but just fiero didnt want to kill kevin ^^ Another thing: Once i went headsup with some random person where i had 1400 points, and he had like 100. I lagged out two rounds to get a better heads up against him. That was just for my personal pleasure. Well, later i nearly regret it, cause i was close to loosing it. Fiero wanted me to lag out, to go into a more fair headsup, since he didnt kill the point leader (me) on purpose, and let me alive after the fight. WELL, OK, i think it was more to gain a small advantage ;P Whatever. It was the best solution for me to accept his offer, and still his best solution to gain a small advantage against me in headsup. |

thraxle sent an email to ryan requesting specific rules to be created so we should stop arguing and wait for the new specific rules and go from there... ryan is usually pretty fair about tourney play |
