I blame you Asti Spu Monte Carlo. Yes Count, you were the first, an innovator in the new school technique. Very effective in winning points, and even championships, but like the nose bridges for eye ware developed by Navin R Johnson, the long term effects were not known.
We now have a bunch of cross eyed players that have been staring at their nose bridges far too long. In fact, some have stared so hard, that their pupils are no longer visible and are actually looking inward, without introspection. Where have the Murti's, the Lagers, the Wishbones, he Bone Rollers gone? They have been replaced by the likes of Shadolin, Studious Gangster, and WarDog. Yes, the second generation of half breed that was first seen in Monte Wanna bees like leekstep and Pat Whalen. Yes, the game has evolved, like a mutant virus and nobody can find a cure. The manipulation of the flagging system, ie... the limp wristed vflag is almost assured by these type players in round 1 to each other. No silent truces where trust is key, and being able to see the boards silent truces through lack of an attack is needed. no simpleton play , where submission verbally in round 1 or 2 is used to get a better than deserved position. No skill, talent or desire to actually win involved. Is there an antidote to this disease that plagues kdice? Yes, I believe so. The tournys are awful, the flagging system rotten, the play style horrific. The answer, as I have been promoting for some time, team play. No flags, simply a winning and a losing team. No vflagging to the strongest player, just hope your teammate is. There can be some very strong teams. Think of Wishbone/Das/Sam/Kehoe or any three of four. Shev/Murti/Myself/Nexon Bonez/Rowdy/Thraxle/Monte Lager/Cody/Adam/Nix etc... Would love to see how the new schoolers would fare in a month of battles where there only is a first and last place in those matchups. my guess, not very well at all |

at 12:23 PM, Monday January 19, 2009 EST he was talking about me because i owned his ass in the tourney yesterday. With 4 players left he had over 4k in points and i had 33. He whined the whole time claiming i was perma truced with another guy named"jijo". Was kinda funny, anyone who watched that tourney got some laughs from moondusts whining

at 12:36 PM, Monday January 19, 2009 EST Potato, you played this extremely unfair and now you try to twist the truth by describing the things not accuratly.
There were only 3 players left and you perma truced JJ. I had multiple possibilities to get 2nd, but you two wouldn't allow me to fight for it, because that would have meant that one of you would have been kicked out. Also, I by trying to describe me as a sore loser or a whiner, you show that you are running out of arguments. I don't want to pull other people in, but I think when players like MikeyPoo or Big Jumblies agree that you were being unfair, it says a lot about your style here. |

at 12:46 PM, Monday January 19, 2009 EST moon, i truced based on starting positions. had i had the oppurtunity to kill jijo at anytime i wouldve because it wouldve gotten me top 2. I played fair and u are just a sore loser still ranting about it in the forums. If anyone should be pissed it should be me. With 3 players left moon promised me a flag, so i stopped attacking him and let him fight. After knocking the other person out of the tourney he decided that he didnt want to flag anymore. Very dirty play

at 12:59 PM, Monday January 19, 2009 EST In game 10, I offered the two of you to fight for overall second. Both of you disagreed, you truced and killed me instead.
In the games 13-17 I tried my best to truce either of you or to fight for 2nd. Neither of you accepted an alliance when I offered it. EVEN WORSE: I was never allowed to fight for 2nd. You had pawned me in game 12 You had pawned me in game 13 You had pawned me in game 14 You had pawned me in game 15 You had pawned me in game 16 And now you wonder why I didn't stick to that vflag in game 17? That's just pathetic. |

at 8:47 PM, Monday January 19, 2009 EST You know... it's not exactly impossible to get an unofficial team game started. It would take a little organization, but we could do it, if there was serious interest. Here is what I would propose:
Everyone that wants to play the team kdice creates a new alias... one that is consistant, like [tp]ma1achai and [tp]yellowfin. These accounts are not looking for points... all games will be played on zero level tables and if your alias gets too many, bomb it. We can work out in forums good times to play... and win/loss can be kept in the forum too. Perhaps ryan could just set up some 6-man tables that do not show up in the regular play list... we can go directly to them by name??? Players sit alternating according to team so that there is not two from the same team in a row. What else? It would be a little work, but could be fun. |

at 8:56 PM, Monday January 19, 2009 EST ma1 what you describe has been done before many times. Ryan has 'mega banned' when he found out. Ask Cody and Alan...
@Potato we were not all laughing at moondust. In fact I know of four other people that found it disgusting. A new low bar in kdice. However it was a legit strategy in Flagdice. Perhaps if I was in your shoes I would have done the same thing. But it was still lame... |
