You've done the World proud in showing that race and colour of skin dont matter to you any more. Lets hope that the rest of the World can follow your example.

at 2:15 AM, Friday November 7, 2008 EST as usual, JSS adds absolutely nothing to this thread.
Pres. Obama won because he was the best candidate and inspired people. In a time where people desired change, it's what he promised. Well done sir. |

at 5:20 AM, Wednesday November 19, 2008 EST Yay! *pats self on back* some of us worked pretty hard to make this happen. :)
And interestingly I liked John McCain in 2000 during the primary season. I am a stereotypical journalist but I come from a conservative family -- a long line of proud military/conservative voters from Texas no less. (My dad commanded a wing of nuclear missile silos in the Air Force) Adam from Florida, XCbatman and I talked about this over the last couple of years. XCbatman (a member of the military industrial complex from a conservative family like mine) told me very early on he was going to vote for Obama. Thats when I knew there was a chance for a very interesting coalition of support for Obama. XC's enthusiasm inspired me -- In part -- to convince the militaristic element of my family to go for Obama. Meanwhile Adam in Florida (notorious kdice player)kept telling me there was no way white people were ready to vote a black man in. I drunkenly texted him from a watch party in Texas on election night: "YOU were WRONG MOTHERFUCKER!" I tend to look at foreign policy more than domestic policy and the reputation of our nation was so messed up worldwide that we needed a reboot. Our problem was a loss of credibility. Whatever your ideology is -- if the nation has no cred its hard to do much of anything. So as much as I respected Senator McCain -- his connections to George W. Bush (perceived and real) had to be flushed for the good of the country in my opinion. Obama has almost always said he would govern from the Center -- so much of his cabinet will be Clinton retreads -- but that will be a lot better than the Moronic INCOMPETENCE (perceived and real) of the George W. Bush administration. Sorry I am rambling Kdice is not the place for politics..... You may now tell me that I have no life and to STFU. |

at 7:20 AM, Wednesday November 19, 2008 EST Oh I'm so glad that you asked me this question, because it also has been one of the core issues in my... I mean in John's uh our campain.
It is... We need to understand that Africa a... is a great trading partner of our even greater nation, job creating and lower taxes. I am not afraid to answer tough questions, because God always gives me the strength to get up every day and answer the questions that journalists like you ask me. Anyway... back to your important question. I have lots of experience also with these Africa related stuff... the proximity of Russia and Alaska is the best evidence for that. I hope that answers your question. Now time for a joke: Tell me, what's the difference between lipstick and a pitbull? |
