The future of kdice could be great

This is more directed to Ryan than anyone else, but I would also like peoples opinions and ideas to build upon my own.
Ryan this game could be so much more than it is, and I think you might know it. Kdice is for the most part original, and that means that you can go so far with it;the stars are the limit. Thus a few ideas I think you should consider: 1) sell merchandise (KDICE TEESHIRTS!) 2) Have 1-3 places get a teeshirt FREE, 4-25 get something smaller, and 1-100 get a award (basically a piece of fancy paper) -Why do this though? Wont that eat profits? - We all know that anything on the web can make a lot of money by hosting ads. Thus by giving awards you will attract more people, and thus get more money from adds. 3)Have a torny for the 12 Gold placers..to fight it out for the YEARLY CHAMP! (give a nice reward for winning it) The point is money has to be spent, and hard work put in to get the rewards. Also my friend the potential is there. |

This past year is riddled with controversies from PGA's to flagfests to Proxies. A good chunk of those first place trophies don't mean a whole lot. |

Yes, kdice could be much bigger and better than it is, but its not going to get there by handing out tshirts every month that most people would be embarrassed to wear.

Newgrounds.com for instance has the exact model for this idea. You have to give rewards to collect interest. Not to mention this game being only here can cause it to be the next big thing. |

As for tee-shirts... Sure. But on that score, since it would be--for all intents and purposes--MY (and every other member's) dollar's paying for such things, I would hope such give aways be very limited to either the top player of the year (regardless of membership) or limited to members only. That being said, MY dollars, once given become RYAN'S dollars, and he can do whatever the hell he wants with them. :) |

Check out zazzle.com It wouldn't cost Ryan a damn dollar, unless he wants one of us to make the design for him, then he'd have to trademark kdice and all things related. but the name is simple, and I've said before, i'd pay out the arse for a kdice t-shirt. And a long, long, long, long time ago I suggested that we have a tournament, as a competitive thing, that had rounds, as a best of the best, and most tactical in a short amount of games instead of over time. Ryan said he'd like to do it, but alas, the idea only got 6 votes and it's about a year old. |

There have been merchandise threads in the past. I still don't think the time is right for it now but who knows, someday maybe I agree some form of allstar league or championship would be great. Even if I can't make it into it, I would love to watch some of those epic games. |

at 3:50 AM, Wednesday June 18, 2008 EDT yeah people have brought up the "champions league" idea before and me personally would love that....i barely play anyway and watch mainly 2.5 and 10k games if there was a champions league it would b awesome! also for the lulz you could make it so people from europe can only PLAY against people from europe for 2 weeks and people from USA only PLAY against other americans and canadians etc (obviously this is all hypothetical) then the last two weeks the top50 from each play in a champions league bonanaza!!!
