Here! I will do math!

BOMB played 1649 games in the month of April.

Since he never really played out of the 500 tables, we will assume that those games go faster. Just for argument sake... I don't agree with this point because I think ppl don't flag out of lower tables as quickly as higher tables, but whatever.

So the average game takes 12 mins.

1649 * 15 = 24735 mins spent playing kdice.
24735/60 = 412.5 hours spent playing kdice.
412.5/24 = 17 days spent playing kdice.

The average work week is 5 days a week with a grand total 20 days.

Think about it... how many of you played games with Bomb? And how many of you are spread across different time zones.

I understand your frustration with the points buying, but this was a team of people playing on account. If you need more proof, we have it.

Seein as my name was mentioned, and I know I have a fairly large amount of games compared to most casuals...

First of all, I'm CST (Currently living in Dallas, TX)

I get up and go to work, get there at 9am.

During the day, I slip in games between working as a programmer. (And my supervisor is entirely happy with my progress and results, so I actually do get a decent amount of work done).

Then, at 5, I go home. about 5:30 or so, I play for an hour or 2 at home while talking to family (PC is in living room), then usually I'm done by around 7 or 8, and done.
Weekends, I usually play a few hours each day in the morning.

If I wanted to, I could easily double the time I spend on kdice (family might be upset, but whatever) Hell, if I had a different kind of job, I could probably triple it.

If I had absolutly no life at all, I could quadriple it or more.

Seems to me that bomb plays a lot of kdice, but between whatever kind of job he has, etc, he can quite easily play that number of games, and even still have a life besides.

Not saying I know this for a fact, for all I know bomb is a team of officeworkers. Or a government agency running a test. But for all I know, so is everyone else :P

I don´t know if bomb are multiple players. Personally I like the story of a guy earning first by hard work at the lower tables. Maybe it is just a story, but it´s a good one. I don´t like the story of many top 10 players getting there with less than 200 games a month. Frankly on the higher tables I often feel cheated by the players there because they know each other, they don´t want to hurt each other and as it´s all a balancing of points the not so involved players get screwed.
And that´s exactly the point why bomb´s story is much better than DG´s or wish´s story which are just pathetic.

Yeah I just saw this..

What do the gold stars by a player's name mean?

Each gold star represents a five dollar donation to the site.

You can donate and gain stars by clicking the Membership link in the left hand column.

Stars currently give a 2500 point one-time bonus when a player buys them.

When did that come in?

so you can get what 1,000,000 points for $2000

which is buggerall in real money since the us economy died.

So $2000 and don't play a game, come first..nice.

Agree with TIS, the higher tables are like a club, and the new guy always gets caned.

It's a rather silly accusation, considering the sheer number of ways players can "cheat" at this game.

Well regardless of anything else, it was acknowledged that other people were playing for him in chat during the month. So forget the math, it was flat out admitted.

I work with Bomb. It is a joke around the office: "Omg bomb (we don't actually call him bomb), still playing that damn game?"

He plays his whole shift at work, but probably only gets about 6 hours of actual playing time. He works night shifts in EASTERN time, finishing around midnight, and goes to bed very late, or when most of you wake up.

He doesn't usually only play kdice, but after his effort in March (he was 5th before trying it all to make top 3 and getting 10th) he said he'd get it in April and gave it all, so he played all night after work before going to bed.

I mean, he did play a LOT in March, enough for me to make fun of him all the time. But in April, it was just crazy. Playing at work, playing at home, sleep, go back to work and play some more.

That was his month. He was dedicated to winning, and he won.

I understand most of you think there are several players playing his account. I would probably think the same think if I was in your position.

But truth is, he did play all those games. Did he get help? Yes. From me. I played a lot with him. I work with him 2 to 4 nights a week and I help him. Call us a team if you want, but I don't see what's the big deal here.

Sometimes he'll get many cars in a row (he's in a parking booth), goes to the bathroom, etc. and I'll take over for him so he doesn't lose his turns because he trusts me.

When I'm not working on his shifts, he goes "away" and skips turns instead, ruining his games. This happened a LOT. Anyone who played with him knows this. When he doesn't skip turns, I'm there with him. It's as simple as that.

...

The point is, he gave it his whole this month. He grinded 500's table because that was his strategy and he had the time to do it. He got sick of the game in the process, but he did it. You all got jealous, especially Dicey. I understand why, it's frustrating to lose to someone with over 1600 games played. But don't blame the guy who did it, blame it on the scoring system. He's so fed up with this game that he doesn't even want to talk about it anymore. The last few days he kept telling me: "Max, I don't think I can do it, I'm so tired of playing."

That's how crazy it was. And all he got in the end is a whole community accusing him of having a team playing his account as well as 2 losers stealing first place from him. Then again, I call you losers, but I don't blame you for it. I blame the system.

Congrats Bomb, you did it! Get some rest.

I'd also like to add that Dicey did NOT buy 2nd place, "the place she earned.".

She bought first place, and wish beat her afterwards. I wish I had a screenshot to prove it.

But the last time I checked, Dicey was in first place and Wish was in 2nd. I woke up this morning to see Wish in first place.

Anyone saying Dicey bought her way into 2nd is full of shit, period. She just lost at playing kdice, and she lost at buying stars.

Tough month.

Last thing I want to say: If you check the ips where he played from, you will get 3.

Insane number of games played at the office. Insane number of games played at his place.
About 50 (?) games played at my place (we are friends, afterall).

He might have played a few games here and there at other friend's place, I have no idea. Probably not, though.

Ask Ryan. If he logs the IPs, he'll tell you that it's all true.

I'm done.

So it seems that bomb did play all those games by himself. Maybe a buddy made some turns but personally I think that´s ok. So maybe JeremiaS and DG should just admit that bomb earned 1st and he did it in the most honest way possible. And all the talk about multiple players seems to be plain jealousy for bomb did earn 1st!
